So just discovered HBomberguy was listed in the "Special Thanks" during the credits of Gameoverse...I want to know what the heck that guy did during the production? I notice a lot of people seem to love "thanking" him in the credits but I have no friggin clue what he does to contribute to the production of so many different things, unless the staff just really liked his garbage videos.

He also was invited to the premiere.

I just noticed on the Glitch front page that Gameoverse is already at 18 million views in 9 days while Knight's of Guinevere is still only at 19 million in 8 months. I find the suffering of Dana Terrace's creations to just be very funny.

Holy shit, this really is the fastest fandom I've ever seen.
It's roping in the pibby people, the game grumps people, and the people fucking desperate the last 15-16 fucking years for any new gameoverse even if it's not the same thing and basically a pibbylike skinsuit with more lore than just "ah yes the rabbit creates the darkness". That combined with the blatant marketing push on the level of astroturfy feeling likely is why all this is blowing up as it is.

Still trying to wrap my brain around how she got so assmad at Disney for cancelling her softcore gay porn show that she burned hundreds of thousands of Pomni-bucks to make a painfully obvious anti-Disney cartoon... only to run right back to Daddy Mouse when they want to throw her gay porn show's fans some easy crumbs.

Its tailor-made to be appealing to a lot of internet tastes, sex appeal, vidya-references, e-celeb involvement and marketable character designs, it would be shocking it wasn't successful.

I've been reading this thread for months, and knowing what everyone thinks about Murder Drones, I think we can all agree that they shouldn't pick up Cliffside. I think it's better if it remains as a one-off thing.

What's this? So the few remaining Cliffside fans don't want Glitch to pick up Cliffside? That's a new one.

To put this into context, the user who posted this tweet is a HUGE Murder Drones/Liam Vickers fan, and surprisingly ended up hating Glitch. He later provided more details.

He doesn't want Cliffside to be infested with ads like what's happening with Gameoverse and the other shows, and he also doesn't want the accusations against Glitch to ruin Cliffside's reputation.

So yes, you know Glitch is losing respect when MD's fans, of all people, don't want them to pick up any more of Liam Vickers' creations.

To be fair, this is like one literally who on twitter, im sure the people who are actually into LVs style of storytelling would be okay with Cliffside being picked up.

I watched that pilot, its just Murder Drones in a wild west setting, meaning it wont be that good at all

Shilling for gambling for figurines aside, this is the kinda characterization I hope Kit actually gets to have in the series. I also know I just said that "the serious and goofball duo" worked with Kit but her just going full cat gremlin sometimes would be much better than going full PTSD bitch sometimes.
No but seriously, I get that the show's free to watch, and I also get that if they didn't sell them in mystery boxes profits would immediately go down the shitter since everyone's just gonna buy the most popular ones and like next to none of the other figurines, but this feels about as scummy as lotto tickets at the gas station. Maybe it's just my distaste for anything gacha.
To be a devil's advocate though, I wonder if it's also to ease shareholders. Because when you get people buying up only the popular figurines, that means shareholders are gonna be smartasses and say "hey fuck all these other guys for your show, only focus on the popular ones or else we're pulling our stocks!"

It actually happened. Who would have thought that visually appealing characters could help you achieve success faster?

You wouldn't believe the amount of cope on Twitter right now. They're saying things like, "This isn't a competition", "Both series are masterpieces", "Stop disrespecting KoG".

Glitch has convinced me that "indie" was always a meaningless label.
Companies have caught on that the label indie can be used as marketing. The same thing is happening in the Video game indie scene. Projects come out being advertised as indie when they're actually by a puppet company owned by Tencent, or they're published by the daughter of the sixth richest man in the world.
