Glinner's conviction for criminal damage has been overturned on appeal.

The appeal began yesterday, Thursday 30th April, at Southwark Crown Court. Glinner's team made a bad character application against Sophia Brooks which was denied, but the appeal was done by the end of the second day. The panel could not be sure the damage to Brooks' phone was caused by Linehan and doubted Brooks' claim that he had checked the condition of the phone shortly before the Battle of Ideas conference in October 2024. Per Nick Wallis:
The judge also noted the fact that the initial complaints against Linehan didn’t mention the alleged phone damage at all. She also took into account the fact Brooks admitted getting Linehan convicted would be a “scalp” for trans activists.

I was so confused by the title of this thread until I realized I was confusing Graham Linehan with Graham Hancock.
