A law mandating 30% of songs played on the radio in Canada must come from Canada origins have allowed many Canadian artists to become big in their own respective countries. However out of all the Canadian artists who went big in Canada, most of them aren't even known or are one hit wonders in other countries. Other than Rush, Bryan Adams, Neil Young, etc. Not very many Canadian artists got so lucky. Many Canadian artists happen to have such hidden gems. Gino Vannelli does have a decent amount of songs that have charted in other countries but is most recognized in his country of origin. So chances are there are a good amount of people outside of Canada who are also familiar with his works. This could lead to a very interesting discussion.
