I do wonder how often he leaves his grandmother's house, though. He has a car so it's an assumption he goes to work or buys his own food, unless he only leaves to scout out young boys to prey on. If he's become more of a hermit, the contention will get to his grandmother eventually. She can't coddle him forever, and his mental state can't be good since he's getting rightfully harassed every which-way, and potentially more paranoid.
