Genshin Impact

i still dont understand the lunar stellar swirl melt superconduct bullshit. i know there's a focus on stellar (?) superconduct right now between sandrone + yae + qiqi but afaik the fourth slot is a bust...? i wouldn't know who to put 4th, somebody from kqm mentioned escoffier???
last time i was logged on (but not really playing) was whenever maruhunter with neuvi + furi was the meta.

tldr: what the fuck is a stellar swirl and who even procs it

Okay so like, lunar and stellar reactions are alternate reactions that require an enabler to be on the team, when they are there the reaction changes. But there is also "direct lunar/stellar damage" that scales with talents and has a different formula (it does not use elemental damage bonus). I assume you know how lunar works?

Stellar is a bit different because it's more similar to lunar bloom, in the sense that the reaction requires an enabler but only specific characters can do direct stellar damage. For example, Lauma, Bina and Nefer are the only units who enable and do lunar bloom damage (it's hard to even call them "enablers")

But stellar is more different because you have units with stellar damage that CANT enable the reaction for themselves, forcing them to bring an enabler or unlocker. These characters are Cyno, Wrio, Yae and mizuki after their buffs. The only units who enable them so far are Sandrone, Odette (7.0) and cryo traveler.

Stellar reactions will pop a stellar radiance field when triggered. These fields unlock the direct damage of the units who have them and the enablers damage type will change to match that field.

Stellar conduct will calculate the electro+cryo aplication in the field and generate stacks that give everyone inside a damage multiplier.

Stellar swirl will calculate the amount of cryo swirls in the field and increase in size, then detonate and do damage to all enemies inside.

This means you want to play either cryo+elec or cryo+anemo altho it's allegedly possible to have both fields at once.

For SSC the best team right now is Sandrone + yae + qiqi + escofier or anemo. In 7.0 odete will let you bring wrio or cyno and aliosha is strong so the team will be Main dps + yae + odete +aliosha c6.

For SSW there is no team yet as it currently isn't in the game. The only units who can play main dps in this reaction are sandrone and mizuki, then you get odete + cryo trav + anemo.

These comps might change in the future as more units release, and we know at least Vesna will be stellar swirl focused as she is anemo.

One of the things I'm looking forward to is seeing if Hoyo can stick the landing in 7.x regarding the Fatui and the Tsaritsa. It'll be interesting to see how they go about it.
inb4 one more year of blue balling us.
The low gravity thing on the moon is neat and all, but I tend to always jump around like a spaz when playing normally and now it's extra annoying lol.
I personally couldn't stand the moon jumping. When you aren't empowered, it feels really sluggish.

Very happy so far! Pulled Citlali and Sandrone in 34 and 26 pulls respectively :)
upd8: got sandrone's claymore in 20 pulls. the little sassy french doll will have me in an emotional chokehold for the next few months, it seems, as my new favorite.

It's also buggy as fuck, the number of times I've jumped to try to climb something then glitched into the terrain and get stuck for 30 seconds or so before the game spits you back out is alarmingly high. I haven't switched to Columbina yet, but I expect her movement on the moon is going to be even more annoying than it is on Teyvat.
