What if Kevin Nash never walked down that dark alley on a hot night in the summer of '92?

Not sure if it was already mentioned here, but the new NXT women’s champion has been getting criticized for a reply she made to a friend back when she was thirteen :story:

That's stupid. We all did and said stupid shit when we were 13

Wasn't this the most obvious African scam since the Nigerian prince? FML I can't believe idiots actually fell for the old "helping orphans" line.
They actually did get the ring and set it up and use it, so not really a scam. People like it because it's just some self-taught people having fun running their own wrestling promotion.

As well as some of the most wild storylines I’ve seen in modern wrestling.

That's like 90% of the indies here and nobody gives a fuck about any of them.

I'm surprised these guys are still doing this gimmick, wasn't there something a year or 2 ago about the guy running this using the money to buy shit for himself instead of using it all for whatever they said they were using it for? I vaguely remember a thread on 4chan about it the last time I was on there, it was that Lord White guy (whoever the white heel manager was) or someone that said they were close to him spilling the beans after he either got fired or had a fight with the other promoter and quit. I just remember the main issue being him buying a new van for himself under the excuse that he needed it to drive the wrestlers around, but he was still using their old van or was hiding that he had the new one or some bullshit. Of course the whole thing could have been a work, and it was on 4chan so everything should be taken with a grain of salt. Plus that's no different than any other wrestling company, or "Save the starving Africans" charities for that matter, it's just kind of funny seeing both scams getting played at the same time and the retarded modern wrestling fans falling for it.

I love it. Best shit since Lucha Underground and I do think there is a lot of passion behind it. But if you think the owner isn't taking everyone for a ride with all these fund raisers :story: , transfer fees and bank charges my ass. Homie is stealing all that shit. The average central African makes wrestling carneys look like respectable and honest gentlemen. Only reason they have a ring is because Cody Rhodes physically sent them one instead of just sending money.

Another wrestling What If...?

Mick dies upon impact after getting tossed off the cell by Taker. Does this end WWF? Televised Pro-wrestling?Just the hard-core scene?
That's a big one.

Attitude Era would be way different without Foley, obviously. No "That'll put butts in the seats!" or Foley winning the title from Rock that night. Rock probably just keeps the title til Wrestlemania instead of swapping it with Foley twice and then Foley's 3rd title reign probably goes to Big Show or something and the WWF still wins the Monday Night War easily. Survivor Series 1998 tourney would need a new person to replace Foley and who that would've been, I have no idea but they likely find someone.

Foley's death probably would've not ended the WWF, similar to how Owen's didn't. I think the hardcore match scene would've been dialed back a lot, if not entire eliminated, from WWF and WCW and likely ECW. If not all of it, the dangerous falls would've probably been eliminated (chair shots and such probably stay). Content still would've been the edgier shit, but the matches would've been more toned down I am sure.

Then again, PPV audience would've been very, very traumatized seeing Foley die on PPV (unlike Owen, it wouldn't have happened during an interview) and it probably would've hurt WWF in PPV buyrates. Even the sick fucks who had a morbid curiosity probably wouldn't have outnumbered the folks who were traumatized

It ends Foley. But Hart actually died and the show went on. I doubt it changes much. Other than no more wrestlers doing idiotic dives off of high things. For a month or so, anyway.

That’s hard to say, but the grand majority of hardcore wrestlers today were influenced by Foley and hold him in high regard.

If his legacy was ended that early, it’s likely it would have a ripple effect on who is working today

One ripple effect, Tony never says "That'll put butts in seats" since that happened. Who faces The Rock here?
