General Wrestling Discussion

On NXT there was a shoot title change because the referee counted a pin when that obviously wasn't supposed to be the finish. Thea Hail is the new North American women's champion, defeating Blake Monroe. To be fair, Blake didn't actually kick out so he counted it like a shoot which is what you're supposed to do. The production team had Blake's music ready to go and had to change it to Thea's after a few seconds lol

Lol, based.
A shame Thea is like two years passed when she was over as fuck. I miss the good Chase U so much.

This is an objective lie.
80s to mid 90s Cornette did not like Foley one bit because of his "mudshow/outlaw" antics, and not until he saw Foley would put over talent Corny liked and talent the office wanted put over did he warm up to him.
Even on his podcast he hates that Foley's legacy (alongside Jeff Hardy's) was inspiring a bunch of talentless hacks that hurting yourself permanently is just as good as knowing ring psychology and performing at an athletic level.
He loved Nick Dinsmore until Nick shared the fact he liked an orange faggot over a jeet cunt. Getting Corny's praise/ire means nothing in the 2020s.

It seemed at first like Blake was supposed to roll her up to counter after the impact, but then Thea just readjusts and Blake tries to do the lazy arm up at the last second but couldn't get her arm free until after 3. I guess she's used to AEW's fuck up refs who will always stop, I hope this ref doesn't get fired for doing his job properly. It'll be funny to see if they just switch the title back next show to prove it was a fuck up, or if Thea was going to win eventually anyways and they just go from there.

Given the strange situation in which Blake tapped out to Thea in a open challenge before the bell rang, I'm only 50% convinced this wasn't done to screw with smarks. It smells a bit like the ending of the LA Knight vs Seth Rollins match where it turned out the "improvised" finish was all a ruse.

I think the "Midnight express" line had enough sting it's still pretty damn funny. way too funny for poso to have came up with it, was probably fed to him.
> Posobiec walks out wearing a NY baseball jersey
> "It was me, bro!"
> Posibiec rips his own face off, revealing it was one of those Mission: Impossible masks
> It's Vince Russo!

It could be a work. I'm not sure this was, but the only thing to do now is lean into it and make a story out of what happened. Have some fun with it.

tl;dr Mick.

I'm not defending Trump because he's gay too, but where was this outrage before? Jimmy Snuka killed his wife and he's still in the HOF. Mick worked a show WHERE A GUY DIED IN THE RING without any hesistation. Dozens of hall of famers and alumni that are still associated with the WWE have said some absolute heinous stuff in shoot interviews and Mick didn't protest that. Current world champ CM Punk is on camera admitting to abusing and taking advantage of a female valet early in his career with no remorse, Saudi Arabia involvment, ect, ect.

So you mean to tell me you're okay with all of this but this is where you draw the line? lmao. I know this guy is going to get outed as a sex pest someday when the right person starts greasing the right palms.

I hope WWE rescinds Foley's Legends deal for once when the latter crawls back to the former like an abused child. Foley should stop whatever he's smoking or drugs he's taking right now because he's approaching Ric Flair levels of embarrassment.

Considering what he put himself through, I can't even blame him for keeping quiet about things a reasonable person would have issues with if it meant he got to keep living life in relative comfort. But him acting like WWE and TKO being Trump adjacent is this horrible crime that he can't overlook anymore makes him staying quiet on everything else look worse. He brought morality into this so now I can't help but assume that he wasn't just tolerating everything before, he had to have approved of it if this is where he draws the line. Especially after the Vince allegations.
