We almost got Punk winning the 2025 Royal Rumble. Michael Hayes is the one who pushed for Jey Uso to win it. is Punk gonna win anything this current run? I feel like his current run is a lot like Edges from 2020-2023 where it's just fan service I mean I guess that's better than all the part timers hogging the spotlight from the younger generation when Vince was still in charge but most of those guys like Goldberg Taker and Brock were in their 40s and 50s and couldn't hang anymore. Well Brock has one more run in him but if the dirtsheets are right than he may very well be Chris Benoit from history

The vault just put out a fun little behind the scenes compilation of Summerslam 98', I've always thought of that PPV as the BC/AD of WWE's attitude era you still had some of the old stuff lingering on but would soon be gone and you saw the future of the company with Hunter and Rock spreading their wings as singles competitors to fill in for Taker, Austin and Foley.

There was a reason why WWF did a lot more international tours when Bret was on top.

Bret absolutely was a draw. Not on the level of guys like Flair or Hogan, but when you're stuck in shit feuds (seriously, how long did that godawful feud with Lawler last?) you can't really say that it is solely Bret's fault.

I don't think he would've been Stone Cold 2.0 or whatever if the booking was perfect, but he was miles ahead of Diesel if we're looking at it from a 'draw' perspective.

I always thought the RAW after WrestleMania 14 was the AD of the Attitude Era because the late 1997 feel is officially over and it's the true beginning of the Stone Cold era, but it's all subjective.

When was the first time Vince got physical with a wrestler? I thought the first time it happened was on July 21st with Bret?
To me Attitude is summed up by Vince fully embracing a heel role as Mr. McMahon.
