General Wrestling Discussion

RIP and all that but lets not forget that the dude was literal dogshit for 90% of his run, went on rambling promos that went fucking nowhere, had to keep reinventing himself every few months because none of his gimmicks actually worked, made everyone he wrestled look absolutely horrible etc. This is the guy who AEW famously didn't even try to pick up when he was a free agent and the guy who had such a spectacularly shit match with LA Knight that LA Knight ended up getting unironically popular.

You sound like EDP445 starting his heel turn.

I agree but you could at least wait until the corpse is cold, you autist lol

I liked Bray, I thought he didn't always stick the landing with everything he did but he was the only guy that sorta could still do spooky shit in WWE and I'm a sucker for those gimmicks. He was putting the entertainment in sports entertainment and I can appreciate that. RIP my homie el spooky gordito.

Could you wait for a least a week to throw your shitty opinions about Bray here? Jesus.

RIP Bray Wyatt, definitely one of the best entertainers pro wrestling has ever had. He definitely deserves some credit at the very least for reinventing himself and succeeding after initially being stuck with that dull generic Husky Harris character. WWE will have him in their Hall of Fame soon without a doubt.

I disagree on the "90% of his run" thing bc I really liked the Wyatt Family stuff. Sure, it lost steam over time but happens to most factions/groups. And I liked his Firefly House video skits. Sure, they were sometimes very weird, confussing and didn't lead to anywhere but I liked that stuff nevertheless.

I never liked the Fiend stuff tho but I usually don't like supernatural monster stuff and the Fiend got horribly booked and damaged with that steel cage match against Seth and the match against Orton later with that whacky box and Alex Bliss.

His return last year at Extreme Rules was great but unfortunately the whole stuff he was doing then lead to absolutely nowhere and the gimmick match against LA Knight sucked ass. But it helped Knight getting popular so I won't complain.

I shit a lot on AEW but I would have liked to see him there. I don't know why but I can see him in a fancy suit with lots of gold rings. Going back to his cult leader figure but updated and modernized. Someone who rambles about current year and the current wrestling business, how it's all corrupted and has lost it's "true spirti". Imagine him like Al Pacino in The Devil's Advocate. While he rambles and rants he starts corrupting this guy and that guy and sent them out to destroy the business. Imagine he then starts siding with Miro. Miro on his weird crusade against God, his wife and the whole world and Bray leading him on the "right path". Basically Miro becoming Bray's tool.

There could have been a storyline where he goes after Dark Order bc they are a disappointment and let Brodie Lee down, that they have become jokes after he died and tbc of that they need to be destroyed.
Or something with House of Black. I'm absolutely convinced that there could have been something done with them and Bray.

I'm convinced there would have been enough potential to do something with Wyatt in AEW.

Anyway, I actually wanted to post this. Cornette speaking about Terry Funk, 1h 44min long.
