They want to be more like Minnesota Wrecking Crew but at this point they could just put on some pleather and be the next Demolition. They're already used to ball gags and getting drilled up the ass backstage. May as well look the part in the ring too. I can't imagine wanting to lie and hurt your career for Phil's sack, but that's all they're doing now.
Bret took the Legends deal from WWE than be their manager in AEW. That says a lot.

I think Nemeth makes a really good heel job guy. He sells well, has a punchable face, and elcits appropriate heat from the crowd.

Him and Peter Avalon are perfect jobbers to keep around. Even if they're not listed as talent in the company they've been kept on the rolodex of people to keep bringing in. They have good characters and good in the ring. They even make sure to feed them other jobbers or more well known Jobbers like Marko Stunt and Fuego del Sol back in the day to make it look like they aren't just there to job.

Given the rumors that Tony had to agree to the Bucks demanding an immediate title run and to win the third and potentially final FTR/Bucks match to get them to re-up and that Tony was trying to flog the trios belts onto FTR as a half-assed form of "I'm sorry!" bullshit, I wonder if Ryan was really at Collision not just to say, job to Samoa Joe in under a minute, but also to report back on what was going on to the Bucks as far as if Punk had vetoed the trios title switch to put pressure on Tony to keep the tag titles on FTR/tell the Bucks to fuck off.
Especially since it's all but confirmed that Punk is booking Collision by himself and that I doubt that he's going to want the one AEW title set that actually counts, being yanked from Collision. Not to mention the sort of hypocrisy with the Bucks maneuvering to work with FTR after spending the bulk of the year ducking them AND Punk, while in the same breathe now demanding to work with FTR simply to beat them.
At this point, if I was Tony, I'd just cancel the Bucks/FTR fight since if the Bucks get their way, the shit show that ensues will probably overshadow whatever Tony has planned for the MJF/Adam Cole storyline, the same way that the Bucks trying to lynch Punk overshadowed MJF's return last year and fucked up plans for him vs Punk.

I don't get the hate for the Viking Raiders
they're decent enough midcard randos, they have a gimmick that works to fill a couple of minutes for promos and they fit the lolwwe match pretty well

They are a pair of ugly as sin 80s gimmick wrestler rejects who represent the sort of "big man=big push" fetish Vince has. They have no personality, relatively interchangable in their blandness, and quite frankly it says something that these faggots still have a job to begin with due to the fact that Vince had fucking Cardona/Meyers and FTR both on retainer and let them go/fired them yet continues to keep the Viking Raiders on the payroll.
At least Hunter has depushed them/made them jobbers but it's insane as fuck that they haven't been fucking fired already.

Just seems like sour grapes that the joshi industry pretty much forgot about her and became even more popular when she went to the US.
Kairi being welcomed with open arms in Japan when she went back probably didn't help and it also looks like she'll be coming back to WWE soon as well so Asuka will probably be bumped down to the midcard for the end of her run.

Don't really hate them but I don't really like their style. It's too much roleplay and reminds me too much of viking roleplaying metal fans on an Amon Amarth gig. Overall it's too cheesy for my taste and for 2023. If they would switch to some more "normal" looking gear it would be great. Simple black jeans/pants and black boots, done. And get rid of the shields.
And they need another name.
