Never hitting the acceptance stage and moving on is pretty pathetic.I'd say more like fondly watching videos of a loved one after they've passed away.

That must have been a slim window, or I was stuck on a school bus when they were showing Stampede. I just watched on Saturdays, TSN would likely have been weeks to months behind anyway.
Pro Wrestling Plus was awesome.
I also loved when they brought NWA onto TSN and showed every match from the Tokyo Dome Starrcade over a few episodes. The Steiner's match was insane shit to see back then.
There was a period around 1990-91 where they had a 1-hour NWA World Championship Wrestling show on Wednesdays, which was why I got to see it, as Wednesdays were early dismissal days for most Calgary high schools.I remember TSN airing Stampede wrestling around 4PM-5:30PM ish in the Eastern time zone so if you were in Mountain it would have likely been during school for you. They aired it from around 1987 to whenever they shut the doors.
I have no recollection of TSN ever showing NWA other than on Pro Wrestling Plus. They later showed WCW Nitro.
that vaguely reminds me of that Raw Rewind show that aired on USA at like, midnight or some shitThere was a period around 1990-91 where they had a 1-hour NWA World Championship Wrestling show on Wednesdays, which was why I got to see it, as Wednesdays were early dismissal days for most Calgary high schools.
I remember when they had Nitro on Tuesdays, and how they kept it at 2 hours when the show expanded to 3 hours, and how randomly they hacked up the show to fit the slot.
Good episode. Glad to see there's no real animosity there and it was just two guys putting on a good show.New Dark side of the Ring, Necro Butcher vs Samoa Joe, uploaded to the Vice YouTube Channel.

I see you have never gone to Denny's at 3:30 am.Only in pro wrestling can you have a Samoan mat technician raised from a tribal dance troupe fight a Appalachian, dope-smoking hillbilly who wrestles on broken glass barefoot. Its as close as you can get to IRL Street Fighter.
