General Wrestling Discussion

Sad that Brian wouldn't seek help for all of the issues he had. WWE is always willing to help out their ex wrestlers.

I'm more saddened by Nicolai passing though. Probably because he was one of the first heels I ever watched wrestle and I'm more of an 80's fan than a 90's fan of wrestling.

Sabu is being an asshole about all of this though.

So maybe its just me, but I feel like Impact has slowly been rising in quality over the past year or so. Granted, its been bad for a while, but all of a sudden I've become aware that some of it's current content is actually pretty good. Nothing groundbreaking, but good.

Yeah Impact's been a solid little wrassle show for a bit now.

God I have not bothered to watch TNA since the Aces and Eights storyline. I only tuned in for a bit in 2016 to watch the broken Matt Hardy stuff because that was delightfully wonderful

I used to watch it back in the Main Event Mafia days, then when Hogan and all his old folks showed up I got disinterested as the writing and booking started to really suck. The Aces and 8's stuff was hampered by the constant presence of Dixie Carter, who really needed to stop forcing her boring ass into the spotlight.

These days they've been pretty much wresting and some bits of wrasslekino. It's not all great, like Aerostar and Drago can really phone it in compared to when they're working a AAA taping, but it's a nice mix of in-house guys and indie guys like Sami Callahan and Pentagon jr. There's a good thing going on where the savage guy is learning how to heel.

In other Penta sperging
Apparently the Meltzer 8 Ball says don't count on Penta being everywhere for much longer as promoters are hearing he's up in the air for 2019 bookings and WWE would be kneecapping AAA, CMLL, MLW, Impact, and a fuckton of indies by keeping Pentagon off the market.
*sigh*
It was nice while it lasted.
