General Wrestling Discussion

I'm not saying that Dillinger deserves way more than what he has but my opinion on him doesnt matter, he started in a similar position to Elias and i think they are good comparisons to show how well Elias has been treated.

It does help that Cena apparently likes Elias's gimmick I heard.

Has anyone heard that NJPW was interested in bringing in Hulk Hogan at Wrestle Kingdom 12 to be an honourary member of the Bullet Club but he asked for over $300k for the appearance?

I didn't lol. He's come a long way, faster growth than I expected.

I legit have wanted Old Ichiban Hogan to come over and show the kids how to work those Nippon marks brotherdude.

To be fair, it's hard to deny that his appearance would be a fairly decent draw, but not so much that it would be enough to cover the price he's asking for.

Also wouldn't make much sense either since the Bullet Club want to do a Bullet Club split storyline. If it happened back in what? 2015 when he wanted to join it would make sense. Now? No sense at all, he can't even wrestle or even do a run in. Double J still did something before he joined so I was alright with that.

Only way I want to see Hogan in a NJPW ring today is taking a Grenade from Bad Luck Fale.

I'm one to lolHogan with the smarkest of them, but at this point it's not just A Hogan Appearance, it's very likely Hulk Hogan's Final Japanese Appearance, and he was a really fucking big deal there before he was a really fucking big deal in the USA.

I'm not going to grouse too much about him wanting an arm and a leg to show up there.

Is anybody following the batshit wrestling fan who faked her own death? Abby Arthur.

Didn't the guy who ran some TNA site fake his death too?

Unrelated, Penta 0M (the artist formerly known as Pentagon Jr / Pentagon Dark) and his brother "The King" (the artist formerly known as Fenix) had a pretty good match with Garza Jr (afaik heir to the Hector Garza lineage) and Ultimo Ninja.

Not your usual cam-in-the-audience you expect for Mexican indies, either.

Considering how he left the wwf and his recent personal issues, I did not see this coming.

I dunno. Didn't WWE recently pay for rehab for him? Usually their 13th step is a spot in the HoF.

And really if anybody could manage to diplomacy his way out of the eternal doghouse and into the HoF it's the man who managed to keep rival Mexican promotions working together with nobody being murdered.

Well, this was completely unexpected, to say the least. This is just about as shocking as when Bret Hart got inducted years ago. Well, I guess Jeff was bound to bury the hatchet with the WWE sooner or later, just like the Hitman did.

I watched AAA's live event tonight.

I got to see this guy debut. He appears to be some sort of barbarian monster Samoan orc.

Fun show. Light rain through the outdoor area so there was so really great looking shots with rain as they did moves and stuff.

So how was your live wrestling tv event tonight? :smug:

You made your money Eric, you've lived every man's dream. You got Road Wild, what are you trying to prove? are you bored?

He's just butthurt that Meltzer calls a spade a spade when referring to him as a failed promoter. If you bowl a perfect game once then proceed to get a gutterball in every other game, you're not going to be seen as a great bowler. Eric took inspiration from Japanese wrestling promotions, came up a solid card structure to work with and consistently outsmarted his competition. Then he proceeded to piss it all away by making horrible decisions while resting on the laurels of his past successes.

Eric Bischoff is the Kevin Smith of wrestling promoters.
