I want Samsung to bring SD card slots back to their premium phones.

I refused to stop using my Galaxy S20 Ultra until there’s a better option with expandable storage.
You know full well by now that when mega-corp enshittification begins, its only path is further and further downhill.

I 'member when SGSII had the better Exynos chips even in US models which was almost unheard of its its era, and that phone hauled major ass. And then S5 added water resistance without sacrificing removable battery. And after that, Sammy became a steady shitshow going downhill.

I've looked at Sony phones, but I'm so damn used to the Samsung OS. Do the Sony phones perform well?

Given helluva limited XDA support, honestly, if you're not married til death do you apart to slim form factor and dedicated camera shutter button (and 3.5 jack, microSD slot) - I'd kinda skip em in favor of something with better custom rom support. What Sony does offer unlike most others is unlocking the bootloader so long as your model isn't from Japanazi of UnitedStatesofAsshole telecom companies markets who strictly prohibit bootloader unlocking to push their bloat shit.

Should I switch to a refurbished iPhone 15 Pro Max?

I have a Motorola Edge 2022 and I'm getting sick of the Wi-Fi cutting out as it interferes with Android auto. I'm also starting to get a little tired of the fuck fuck games Google plays and how shitty the ads are in some games.

Fido has a promo for a refurbished 15 Pro Max that's a fairly decent price

Whatever you do, don’t get an IPhone 16e. I use it for being a basic ass Apple person, but I’m thinking of switching to the 17e. I’m brokie, but this thing overheats, doesn’t shut off and was already replaced by Apple once. First time in long time I have anything reasonable to complain about.

In other areas, o have a 4g HMD Brick phone in my car in case of an emergency and the smart phone dies. It’s nice.

Been a few days using an iPhone (got a 15 Pro Max) and I’m definitely coming across differences between iOS and Android. There’s a lot of useful little things but there’s also a lot of little annoying things and I still can’t decide if it’s better or worse. There’s game ads seem to be shittier, however there’s now these “free update” ads that try to trick you into downloading a similar but different game. I honestly have no idea how game ads are sustainable as they are almost all ads for other free games that use the exact same ads. There has to be some sort of ad scam going on.

Children seem to have zero mental immunity to this stuff, they'll take even the most intrusive ads in stride as "part of the game" or something. I bet the same is true for anyone with the mind of a child.

Our spotify is absolutely fucking loaded with ads for sleepy time toddler playlists. Like, I've heard at least 5 different out of the 8 ads in rotation. There has to be some kind of grift going on.
