I tend to believe Tim, but he is unstable enough that it could all be bullshit too. I did always get a bitchy feel from Kim though, from her interjections in the videos.
I don't think he lies on purpose but that he genuinely believes what he perceives and will go scorched earth(see: the poisoned meatballs situation, RIP neighborhood pets) if he deems necessary.
I do agree with his rant about people suddenly going with God as if it solves all their problems though. Shit irritates me, too.

God as if it solves all their problems though
It irks me a little too. The only problem going with god solves is the end state of your eternal soul. Just having faith doesn't mean you are entitled for the good life from god. We are fallen creatures. it is our very nature.

looks like Kim took "Tim's statement" down

Man, if he doesn’t own the Buffalo Bore YouTube channel what a mess - of course, with the boomer understanding of technology maybe he just meant she has admin permissions or something.

I hope for his, or her, sake it doesn’t get really messy (who knows from our vantage point what’s true or not, maybe they’re both nuts, maybe she is, maybe he is) - I ended a relationship once where once the decision was made I spent a couple weeks thinking about all the potential ways she’d try and ruin my life afterwards, like what I was going to tell my manager after she called my work and made shit up.
Fortunately it wasn’t that bad, but that’s not something I’d wish on anyone.

I almost didn't bother because this is such a nothing video. Tier lists like this are sort of dumb to begin with and barrel lengths is a topic that is both to broad to do without narrowing criteria and also it doesn't matter really anyway.
If we are talking 5.56 ARs as long as your barrel length is between 11.5" and 16" it doesn't fucking matter for 99% of situations, and even if you're outside that range while I'd call it an over optimization it's still fine.
The two points I really want to hit on this video:

You can tell how emotionally invested Trench is in a video subject by how much he tells his audience to not get emotional. He clearly has some emotional hang ups and it's obvious while watching the video

Trench repeatedly references reliability while discussing the barrel lengths and that a good summation of his understanding of the whole matter. He equates barrel length with reliability, and while dwell time can impact reliability and dwell time is related to barrel length, Trench never mentions dwell time and I'd bet doesn't really understand dwell time, gas system length, or gas port size and their relation to reliability.

I'm not going to summarize his opinions on each length, here is his rankings

S tier: 14.5
A tier: 11.5
B tier: 16, 20
C tier: 10.5
Trash tier: 12.5, 13.7, 18
Nuclear Waste tier: 7.5

Tier lists are the XKCD comics of youtube videos. Complete conversation killers.

If you're a man then 20in is the only option. Everything shorter is for women and homosexuals.
Correct. The homosexual option is to channel your inner Clavicular and start tax stampmaxxing to AMOG the other homos at the range, because gun ownership is apparently supposed to be some sort of potlatch where you "win" by being more extravagantly wasteful than the other guy.

NO, you have to get maximum ballistic performance out of every round. You never know if you're facing class IV body armor. 24" or you're going to get clapped and raped.

And anything longer is for hillbillies and geriatrics.

Yeah pretty much. "Help us pay for the $500 of ammo we just wasted we couldn't do this without you". FRTs and full auto get old real quick even in .22. For people running .308 or .300blk you're probably burning like $800/minute or $48K an hour. 5.56 would be $360/minute or $22K an hour. That's probably what most people make yearly or every 6 months just gone in minutes.
I can't think of a more costly thing you could do with such an unsubstantial outcome. Even a crazy drug problem isn't as bad and is a way better value imo
It's the mindless consumer aspect of the vast majority of Guntube that annoys me the most.
I get that shit like FRTs are a neat toy, but I have zero interest in watching some failed abortion burn several grand worth of ammo for some incredibly stupid and gay video.

more and more, i find myself more engaged with videos with limited shooting. Like load testing and development and similar. Like the things Rob at british muzzleloaders and Belaz at CapandBall does. I really enjoy hunting videos too. driven pheasant, cape buffalo and that sort of thing.

I realized I'm the same way (read: old) when I looked at my favorite two gun channels: ForgottenWeapons and Paul Harrel. Man talks about thing for 26 minutes, 2 minutes of very interesting shooting. Kino.

Too bad Paul is dead. Roy does his best, god bless him.
