My workplace went tits up (thanks Obama) finally and even though it was packed to the gills with 3rd worlders they were all middle aged women and pleasant. Everyone's a bit sad about it. Half of them were lifers. Coworker-friends have already moved on and are holding the door for me if I want to join them where they've landed - but I can also choose to be a welfare leech for half a year and upgrade a bunch of credentials to land something more gravy and/or just gtfo of the West altogether. Kind of a shitty time to emigrate though.

Tough call. The more I accept where I am, the nicer my personal life gets and the more friends I make. And the more I have to lose if i yeet out of here. But also the frequency of stabbings and bankruptcies increase. I haven't been unemployed in over a decade either so I'm both excited and trepidatious.

KitchenAid mixers are absolute workhorses in the kitchen and I love them.
