"The severe lack of understanding surrounding the topic - and its reversal counterpart - became particularly prevalent last week, when a proposed study to explore why transsexual people may want to “detransition” was reportedly shut down by Bath Spa University so as “not to offend people.”

“The fundamental reason given was that it might cause criticism of the research on social media and criticism of the research would be criticism of the university and they also added it was better not to offend people,” James Caspian, the psychotherapist behind the proposed research, told BBC Radio 4.""
Thought you guys might find this interesting, idk.

This research will be of value to transpeople so seeing it shut down because of 'poor optics' is depressing. If they're able to find any good data which can be used to differentiate between those who can be helped with surgury and not, it would free up valuable resources rather than spending it on unnessecary prodecures, medication and counseling required - ironically - for the gender dysphoria.
But then people would have to answer tough questions, and as the bell curve demonstrated decades ago, the left would rather lie and leave the disadvantaged in the mud than grapple with tough questions.

Raising question is at it's very worst tedious. At it's best it saves lives. It's never wrong to raise questions, and it's always wrong to stifle people who have them.

don't forget that his doctor, John Money, made Reimer do sexual shit with his brother and even took pictures.
He got away with it, and his works is still taken seriously.

Reminder for everyone that the whole gender/sex dichotomy did not exist prior to Money. Before him "gender" was just an old Victorian term for sex.

All the blame for the plague of troonery and the child abuse that goes with it can be traced back to this man. He's basically Joseph Mengele without the public recognition that he was an unscientific, ideologically blinded hack.

In a sort of academic Streisand Effect, the pathetic and despicable attempts of a community college-tier shithole to stifle research like this seems to have drawn attention to the need for research on this issue.

Money is generally despised, when he is known by name.

Unfortunately, his evil doctrines continue to be promulgated.

It's always good to question things unless it's politically incorrect.
that's why schools always babbled about "critical thinking" and "critical theory" but was getting mad when little Oglooger pointed how minorities were the reason the school was going downhill.

I'm sure it'll become more prevalent as kids are being told to chomp down on estrogen pills because they played with a Barbie once.

A sad example is trans celebrity Jazz Jennings. He took drugs to prevent puberty and now he

- talked openly about not having any libido whatsoever and never had an orgasm (because his penis was rendered useless)

- the doctors in a recent episode told him that his penis is to small for regular srs because he never went trough puberty that means they have to use parts of the bowel which will smell like fecal matter.

Boys like him are getting castrated, sterilized and are left with no sexual feelings whatsoever because they never went trough puberty and thus never experienced sexual maturation. ON TOP of that the hormones and gnrh agonists both cause further genital atrophy, loss of libido and so on. Their bodies never had a chance to begin with.

They are getting told they become women but in fact they are stuck with pre-pubertal male bodies.

Also there are the horrible consequences of the drugs used to block puberty which can take upon a decade or less to affect the body. But then everything goes downhill fast. So the consquences might not even be visible at first.

Here are people talking about how the drugs affect their health. Some are permanently disabled.

But trans activists continue to lie.

The longer this goes on, the more it looks like medical assisted troonery is going to go down in history like facilitated communication on nonverbal tards and therapists who diagnosed multiple personality disorder/satanic ritual abuse.

The gender/sex distinction was actually invented by early academic feminists like Simone de Beauvoir. To me this distinction is harmless in itself -- after all we often use different words to refer to the same concept in different situations (morning star, evening star; violin, fiddle). Unfortunately postmodernist ran away with the word "gender" and rent it asunder with its biological partner. "Gender" then became a nebulous, floating term grounded by nothing in reality -- and this is what got us into this mess.

Well shit, it's almost as if there's a reason SRS is expensive and used to require intensive psychiatric evaluation.

After a few multimillion dollar lawsuits against these quacks, it probably will go back to that.

You'll notice that just about anything that points towards transsexualism/GID being a medical condition rather than a form of socio-political expression gets almost instantly shot down because it's "gatekeeping," "offencive," "exclusionary," etc.

It's almost as if a certain group of people profits off of how easy it is to claim you're trans, and don't want that to change.

If there was a cure for gender dysphoria. Take a pill and suddenly you're not interested in chopping off you penis anymore. I guarantee it would be attacked as trans erasure. Same with autism.

Back in the day this was called body dysmorphic disorder. People who did this were understood to be like Michael Jackson and the Barbie wannabes and others who don't know when enough plastic surgery is enough. They wanted to change themselves through surgery.

Then the term gender dysphoria came about, and that also helped legitimize it. It separated it from all those crazies just doing too much plastic surgery.

Now it's barely acceptable to understand that dysphoria means there is something wrong. Just take off the word disorder.

Jazz Jennings is now a perpetual child, one who will get cancer 20 years down the road and who'll never understand what a sex life is like. Sad.

Change the name, change the outcome. Make it unacceptable to talk about, it can be done with impunity.

.

If she doesn't kill herself first. Sadly, I could see that. It just seems like being a child star who had to go through massive hormone therapy.

Well he is still on suicide watch and the suicide rate is even higher after penis inversion surgery.

Ironically the woman who dragged him into the spotlight- Maritza/ Mark Angelo Cummings detransitioned and so did her husband.
She now regrets what she has done to Jazz.

What happened to Jazz now happens to thousands(!!) of boys. They are modern castrati. Never reaching sexual maturity, pre-pubertal genitals. No male sexuality, no libido.

For girls it's also shitty:
too much testosterone causes dry, swollen genitals and vaginal atrophy, mood issues and a high sex drive. The dryness makes the skin thinner and causes pain and bleeding. Their voices will never develop like in actual men. Also there are the mood swings.

Too much testosterone also causes blood cloths and cancers in female bodies.
