Garth was a pretty notorious philanderer back in the 90s. Ended up cheating on his wife with a few people, including Trisha Yearwood (whom he eventually married and apparently got on the straight and narrow with. He allegedly took his big sabbatical from performing/recording to spend time with his family and raise his kids.)

I'm somewhat skeptical of these claims, although there's a lot of details that should be verifiable.

Another story I read had him pushing for a threesome with this Jane Doe and his wife. Guessing it was consensual and then it was used as leverage for this lawsuit.

It's not even like certain other artists who were hesitant about music streaming and resisted their music being put on Spotify or similar streaming platforms until the writing on the wall was obvious and they transferred over. All of those other artists still had their music up on their official YouTube channels, albeit in the form of garish and obnoxious music videos, atleast they were available.

Garth Brooks must employ a rather substantial lawfirm to do yearly reports where they go through YouTube every 12 months to send takedown requests on any of his songs because any reuploads are always from the last 5 months.

What's the point in wasting what I assume to be a substantial amount of money in legal fees just to fight a losing battle against people listening to your music online for free? People can already torrent your music if they want to, do you REALLY think someone is going to search for a Garth Brooks song, not find it on YouTube, then decide to buy a fucking CD Player and Original CD??
