I've got a game in my head that i wish would come out, it's basically a mix between open world survival and colony sim, game play similar to the Elder Scrolls(but better) and a commanding system for units like Mount&Blade, and it plays of in a medieval fantasy setting, the more stereotypical one(i don't like weird exotic re-imaginings) where you can choose a race with pros and cons, and their own style of building(think cultures of Conan Exiles), and you basically start of alone and slowly recruit more villagers and grow develop your own kingdom.

It wouldn't have an overarching story, rather it's more sandbox, like Stellaris, where you get events like "a horde of creatures is heading towards your territory" or "a necromancer has taken residence in the ruins at <insert location>" and if you let it be, it might grow into a larger threat or if you're friendly towards the undead you can negotiate with them or something like that, and then the stronger you grow the more and dangerous events would appear, and the end game would essentially be either your empire gets eventually overwhelmed or you have no more threats and can do what you want until you get bored or something.

Graphically i would prefer it to be stylistic rather than high fidelity, to make more space for physics and other elements to make the game more interesting, something on the level of WoW or anime-esque that wouldn't demand much of your PC, i've always found interactivity more interesting than having things look hyper realistic, so things like fire spreading on flammable objects, walls breaking pieces off realistically when hit etc.

All in all something that'll never see the light of day, i guess this wish in part is because a lot of survival games are multiplayer focused, and so if i play it alone, then i'd have to do all the chores myself, and it would be nice to have npc's do the building/gathering/producing/defending while i go explore.

when the combat was going on it wasnt that bad but there wasnt much of it. feels like a tech demo game for what ps4 games in the future could be like and still looks pretty good even to this day (they baited us with the supernatural stuff tho and they shouldve leaned more into that)

Would be nice to have something that has a database of real life intersections for road and rail and then uses AI/good programming to detect if you meant a specific intersection, then builds it to the proper geometry without much fiddling.

This is what something like Cities Skylines should have, if you built a squirrely interchange it would assume you meant a five-stack and fix it accordingly, and not having to load a long mod list where you have to select a 90° 5-5-3-3 Five-Stack with Concrete (or whatever) to build it correctly.

I just wish it were easier. And grid was smaller than 5m...
 
Roguelite Sci-Fi FPS that has procedurally generated levels allowing you to purchase abilites and guns with currency you earn after completing levels, like a boomer-shooter verison of Destiny thats Singleplayer-only
 
There are three games that naturally appear in my mind when it comes to this topic.

First one is inspired by a game called "Remember Me". It had an interesting premise with segments where you were able to alter someone's memories, in a much more hands-on approach than what you get with Persona 5 (if you can even count that as memory adjustment), but it was not realized to its fullest potential, instead being a pretty regular beat 'em up for the most part.
Something that takes that one part and builds a whole game on top of it, like some infiltration/stealth based strategy game with bigger emphasis on puzzle-solving situations you encounter.

Second one was brought to my mind by the good old L.A. Noire. The game was really ahead of its time in a lot of aspects, however what I found lacking was some slice of life elements and, well, stuff to do. Something that lets me experience first hand these times and give a better look at the protagonist as a person.

Third one is a bit more elaborate. I'd like to see a battle system that is a Real Time Strategy, but with decisions regarding units made simuntaneously by two parties, during periods of time stop or time slowed down to an extreme degree, allowing you to plan out your actions and play mind games with your opponent. For the lack of a better example, something like how Pokemon handles battles - you and your opponent pick a move at the same time and it all plays out after - except for teams, squadrons, ala' Fire Emblem.
I had this loose theme for it of a gang wars story. No real idea why.
 
A Resident Evil and Grand Theft Auto crossover. I was watching the Halloween specials by HugoOne and Dfactor Longplays:

Imagine Resident Evil: Nemesis made by Rockstar Games. Sounds like a disaster waiting to happened by I wonder how Rockstar would design Raccoon City and Nemesis running around with GTA weapons.
 
Bannerlord type game for many a different settings. Basically an army-leading kingdom-making sandbox for different scenarios. Imagine Cyberpunk or Fantasy. Total War monsters but they're 5 times as tall as you and you're a guy on a mount. Yeah, shit, just total warhammer but mount and blade.

The reason I dislike total war and risk games is that they always fold out he same way. Bannerlord, you can run 50 hours of AI controlled gameplay and a different faction will dominate at different times. No "hit the plague button! kill everyone!"
 
Retro video game demake not based on UE/Unity/Godot or any other modern engine

But honestly, I want to see more voxel games (true voxel games, not polygonal bullshit).
Whether it be FPS, RPG or RTS.
 
During the game awards I stayed up until it ended waiting for HL3, don't know why, I had a slim chance of hope and that fucking announcer knew exactly what he was doing when he did that long ass speech.
