My first exposure to Erika Ishii was LA By Night, a Vampire: The Masquerade TTRPG "actual play" show where she was one of the characters. Even back in the hallowed '90s and EGM they had issues. There was just a recent documentary where the reviewers admitted they only played a game for like two hours before writing a review, and one guy shit all over Game Boy games his entire run because he didn't like the system's screen.. There was also proto-woke shit in the letters section with people complaining about how video game characters were dressed.
