Since this is half owned by a chuuba (Shylily) and there was a wave of shitlib handmaiden chuubas "dropping their contract" because GS refuses to drop Kirsche, their moneymaking machine extraordinaire, I figured a discussion thread here fits.

I'll start. Who actually consumes this thing? What's the point?

Also how did Shylily come to own part of it? Did she buy shares? I can't stand her so I have no clue of the story behind it.
 
Shylily isn't the only partial owner of the company a guy called SMii7Y became a partial owner fairly recently.

The only other vtuber to be included is Sinder who is or was a partial owner before her controversy happened so its a little confusing but she was one.

Shylily and Sinder are the only vtubers I know of who are partial owners besides them the other two partial owners are TheRussianBadger and SMii7Y which are gaming ecelebs.

These people have been partnered with them before the partial ownership shit so I am assuming they are making gamersupps alot of money through their audiences buying those retarded anime cups or it could be purely nepotism from the owner who is a streamer but if it isn't they must have received shares in the company because they are the top earners.

I see. I saw it has no sugar which turned me off from trying it too, because I imagined it would have metallic aftertaste from the sweetener they use.

I'm a little dissapointed it's not actually guacamole flavored. If the guy is a russki they could have made borsch flavor honestly, beets are pretty sweet.

I get wanting to support your content creators but aren't these basically just heavily marked up basic supplements with a fancy container? Just feels like a scam to me. Gives off a "How do you do fellow kids" vibe. Maybe it actually tastes good so idk. I'll give them this though, they haven't, as far as I am aware, caved to pressure from cancel mobs so if you're going to support a meme supplement company this wouldn't be the worst probably. If you wanted to support them a waifu cup would probably be a less-scammy purchase if you're into that sort of thing,

the issue with getting only powdered caffeine is the higher chance of killing yourself from an accidental overdose. supplement manufacturing in america is such that you're not getting the full listed caffeine amount in a scoop (assuming these tubs even have the listed amount of caffeine in them in first place - this is all unregulated). Just drink coffee and if you want it to be vtuber related buy it from phase connect.
Supporting your oshi is the only reason to buy this shit. the coffee too.

I believe the way it works is that you have a code for discounts and they track how much of that code is used gaining money for the creator who posts the code.

After x amount of sales, they get to launch a shaker cup. After x amount of sales for that, you then get too launch merch. And if you do we'll with merch (Kirsche's 160k was 80% of the way) you get a flavor.

And then after that! You can start building up to an equity stake.

My understanding is that the order is code -> cup -> flavor -> equity. Kirsche has a cup, and may get a flavor later on.
 
I get wanting caffeine in a tasty way, but this feels overpriced compared to, well, having coffee? Or drinking lots of iced tea? Or drinking a yerba mate gourd in the morning?
Also I remember a doctor explaining to me the bioavailability of nutrients is way higher if it's in actual food compared to isolated in a supplement, so if you can eat lentils instead of taking an iron pill you should absolutely do it.

I would like to try phase connect coffee but the shipping kills me, man.

That's fine, I simplified it to coffee because it was pithier than listing every natural form of caffeine available, all of which logically fall under the "as God intended" qualifier.

Suffice to say artificial anime girl sugar water is not on the list.
 
Coffee is fine I drink it every morning on the way to work. I do like GG because I like the taste and im not ashamed to say im a massive pussy and would prefer to drink not just water. I dont drink sodas anymore and this has been a good alternative. Also I dont buy the worst ones, but the cups were the first thing I truly gravitate to collecting(Gundam is a new second). I know, I know, I do it because I'm a gooner you're very smart. But if I see a creator cup of someone I like i'll get a cup and a flavor. Im getting my Smugalana cup and a couple flavors today I think even.
 
The water is fine I drink it regularly. Bottled, tap, garden hose, warm, cold, I'm not picky. But if I can add a little something I would prefer to do so.

Does it actually give you a pick me up after drinking? Like say, a weaker blend of coffee? And how is the aftertaste? Can you taste the chemicals?
