It's not "if". It's "when".
The way I see it, Gamergate is just one of those movements that are extremely eager to throw one of their own to the dogs if there's anything unsavoury going on.
I mean, it has happened with real people. Fictional characters are only slightly more hardy than that.
 
So while these GamerGoobers are spending hour after hour tweeting and cyberstalking and filling up entire chan boards with pathological outrage about things that never happened and never will happen, here are some of the things they aren't doing:
  • Having sex
  • Walking a dog in the park
  • Learning to cook a new dish
  • Swimming at a beach, river, lake or pool
  • Spending face time with family or friends
  • Playing a musical instrument
  • Urban spelunking
  • Reading a good book
  • Even playing their precious vidya
And these clowns aren't just wasting their lives with their hatewanking. They're also losing the respect and affection of everyone they tell about it. They are voluntarily, energetically turning themselves into objects of contempt. It's extraordinary.

They could since you have these guys who think they are better than Anita thus meaning they can send a death threat that wouldn't help their case. These sort of pro-GG members not only hurt the image of their side, they do come off as autistic MRA speds.
