I've been forced to use Gamefaqs because next to no documentation exists for a few games I've been playing.
And when I say next to no documentation, I mean if you get stuck you're going off internet posts that say they saw a friend of a friend get through that part and cryptic button presses are needed, that's all that exists.

It was pointed out that long term Gamefaqs users dont really have children, property or meaningful careers which is why they are obsessed with "making a better future" by taxing everyone. CyricZ took issue with this and complained we all didnt have old accounts and should be ignored and basically admits Gamefaqs reputation is all he has.

So what do you guys think will happen to GameFAQs when CBS with its financial troubles finally pulls the plug? I think Sailor B will buy it dirt cheap, will add some bullshit premium service and the forums will become some poor man's ResetERA.

God, the sheer smugness from a fat guy with a downs syndrome face because his greatest life accomplishment was registering an account in 1999.

And if he did he'd probably just shut down the forums and run it like CjayC did in the old days as a pure aggregate for guides.
Every administrator has shown nothing but disdain for the forums. And despite some of the real old timers wanting it to be a ResetEra, Krystals tenure as community manager really made it clear that wouldnt happen without a full forum lockout. (Although she was shitcanned in the most ResetEra way possible so maybe I'm wrong?)

Krystal is infamous for only using her status as a community manager to troll the fuck out of users. She was an attention whore who regularly bragged about how she was banging the other administrator (not Sailor Bacon) which lead everyone to assume that's how she got the job. Besides that she would regularly antagonize users she didn't like.
One of the main parts of the Community Manager job description was to run the Gamefaqs twitter account, but she literally never touched it during her time in the role.
None of this was why she was fired though. She was eventually fired because she mentioned that she refused to date black people because she tried it once and the "cultural differences" were too much for her to handle.

I've thought about diving into LUE every now and then to post whatever retarded shit they're going on about, but it's really just more of a childish board than anything. Their takes on anything political are no different than the impotently violent, unhinged shit you see on Reddit or Something Awful, and then you've got threads like this:
Reminder that this board was sealed off in 2003, and no newer accounts ever earned access to it. Just about everyone there is at least in their 30's or older.

LUE used to be so notorious, and now it's just another GameFAQs board with the same dip shits as every other board.

It's like a Facebook group full of autistic lefties with their milquetoast takes on happenings, usually just posting "yikes" or whatever's the catchphrase du jour, with occasional posts about their personal life happenings. I saw one guy on there saying he was having another daughter, sooooooo, good for him i guess
This is the big spoopy forbidden board 17 years out from its lockdown, and it's just a secret club of aging fedoras getting mad at orange man and living their dumb lives. If I had been scraping it this whole time, I'm sure I'd have some funny life stories from idiots who can't get their shit together, but it's just so unremarkable for something that otherwise has an air of mystery to it.

LUE looks like CE but for 30-40 year olds instead of college students. But I guess GameFAQs in general is mostly for people in their 30s now given it's dwindling, aging userbase and legacy of Web 1.0.
Screenshot the topic list. I don't think in 15 years of using GameFAQs (so damn long ago LUE's closing was fresh in everyone's mind) I've ever seen it.
