I remember going over this stuff in Art History section 1. We watched an animated film about pharaohs and their elaborate tomb plans. The professor talked about the whole new age thing and how ridiculous it was that people thought aliens built the pyramids and they had all these powers you could unlock.

Someone used to sell these pyramid hats that looks absolutely ridiculous. Looks like they still do:
