lol, I bet that we could find a statement contradicting that statement already if we searched a little.
On a side note, I'm noticing Enter using the phrase "You don't understand what this cartoon is about" a lot in response to criticism.
I'll just sum up what I think the cartoon is about quickly.
It's an auteur project, the kind of project that is lead by a creator who seeks to control everything within the project. The creator doesn't care about skill or experience, he just wants people who are willing to help him achieve his dream while disagreeing with him as little as possible.
It's also an incredibly dated cartoon with a distinct 1960s vibe. Complete with a gimmick and inoffensive writing so as not to make people uncomfortable. Otherwise they might momentarily feel some sort of emotion.
The thing is with auteur projects is that they're often either spectacular failures (Daikatana?) or incredible successes (2001: A Space Odyssey) with little middle ground.
Anyway, those are just my thoughts. I imagine that in this case my thoughts aren't very well thought out and you can poke holes in my logic and thought process. Have fun.
