So reading the comments section, somebody asked if they were going to do a Kickstarter for "Growing Around" and Nayolfa answered that this was just something that they were doing out of their spare time and for the sake of creating and experience.

I'm going to go ahead and screenshot that comment, because I know full well that they are so going to go back on that statement.

lol, I bet that we could find a statement contradicting that statement already if we searched a little.

On a side note, I'm noticing Enter using the phrase "You don't understand what this cartoon is about" a lot in response to criticism.

I'll just sum up what I think the cartoon is about quickly.

It's an auteur project, the kind of project that is lead by a creator who seeks to control everything within the project. The creator doesn't care about skill or experience, he just wants people who are willing to help him achieve his dream while disagreeing with him as little as possible.

It's also an incredibly dated cartoon with a distinct 1960s vibe. Complete with a gimmick and inoffensive writing so as not to make people uncomfortable. Otherwise they might momentarily feel some sort of emotion.

The thing is with auteur projects is that they're often either spectacular failures (Daikatana?) or incredible successes (2001: A Space Odyssey) with little middle ground.

Anyway, those are just my thoughts. I imagine that in this case my thoughts aren't very well thought out and you can poke holes in my logic and thought process. Have fun.

You know what, I don't think that's enough to describe how little a chance he has to make this thing any good. Then again, considering the rest of his work, I seriously doubt he wants it to at this point.

At least if it was a spectacular failure it would be somewhat interesting for the reason why it's a spectacular failure. Daikatana is interesting, and still talked about, because of the story behind it. I guess the story behind Enter's cartoon is somewhat interesting, but the cartoon itself is just really. There's no weird sexual stuff like Allen Gregory, no illogical weapons like Daikatana, no chance of it inspiring a murderer like Invader Zim, it's just really boring.
