Like CCH Pounder, Goggins was "that guy" in a lot of shows in the late 80s and 90s. He was a regular background character on "In the Heat Of The Night", playing different teenage henchmen roles in several memorable episodes of the show, plus one where he plays a high schooler with a troubled home life/abusive father and dead mom who ends up an-heroing himself after he realizes his girlfriend is a whore fucking other men behind his back and no one, not his dad or his girlfriend, end up giving a shit that he's dead when he kills himself.

As for Sutter, ironically he's not the chief edgelord in chief on the show. Shawn Ryan explicitly stated on several occasions that he is a huge fan of shock site Rotten and that a good chunk of the edgy shit came from Ryan scrolling through the website and finding gruesome crimes to rip off for the show (like the crucified Korean who shoots himself in the head in front of Julian and Danny when they find him and his dead family (as he was kept alive but feet nailed to the floor for the evilulz).

Actually a brilliant move on his end if he couldn't get cop stories straight from the source. My old police lieutenant for a professor loved sharing morbid shit when it was vaguely related to what he was trying to get into our heads. They see a lot of shit.

He turned himself into a desk drone.
Funniest shit I've ever seen.

The show might have had its flaws but I do not think any other crime show (or film) had a better ending.

I can't think of a better moment when Vik
sees photos of Shane's and his family's dead bodies and then is hit with Ronnie's arrest. I mean Ronnie is dull as dishwater (his lack of agency being his tragic flaw that one informant points out) but he has one great moment and it is his last.

finished the show last week. loved very second of it. the ending was a real gut punch and no one got a happy ending.

well, everyone except Army.

pretty good video on Vic if you can look past the guy calling Vic a racist and a sexist.

Vic was only a racist to the extend that he knew how other races in gang culture acted and used it as a means to an end to do his job. Vics own mentor, was a black man.

Vic was a sexist but he knew thats what the women he interacted with liked and played the bad boy persona.

Was i the only one who thought the therapist in the early seasons was diddle Cassette? he gave me the pedo vibs and i was shocked it turned out that was not the case.

Última edición:
Army absolutely made the right call by not getting bogged down in Strike Team bullshit. I remember the consensus was that he was being a bitch by not going along but as always on The Shield, whatever the characters were portrayed as, the opposite was likely true in hindsight.
He was in the army and probably saw the amount of backstabbing going on and knew where the wind was blowing. i like to think he lost his job at VICE and became a security guard or a mall cop. Still a better alternative then being sent to prison or end up dead.

I finished this show a few weeks ago. Anything with Walton Goggins in it is a must watch for me. CCH Pounder absolutely bodies any actress.

Now I understand why the character of Milo in Sons of Anarchy is rumored to be Vic Mackey.

you cant even finish it on a ps2 since its bugged.
More details on this?

I will always remember the ending of this show. Probably one of the few shows that nailed the ending and made it stick with you. The whole thing with
finding out Shane offed his family and killed himself
still hits hard today.

>Mackie's complete silence
>Ronnie crying over it

very good character writing and acting

One actor that really surprised me out of the Shield was Anthony Anderson (Antwon Mitchell).

I met him in Transformers where he played the fat black kid hacker that screamed at his grandma.

And to see him in something that precedes Transformers and where he actually acts really well...
