Unless someone decides to shit itself in the few games that are left this is going to be the biggest clown moment of the entire tournament. Might be the only one so far, this cup has been surprisingly clean of fucktarded blooper momments and the level of goalkeepers has been specially high. That guy is not going to live it down for a while.

Mexicans are fanatical and obsessed about futbol but suck terribly at it. The Mexican league is surreal, full stadiums of diehard fans foaming at the mouth over some of the worst futbol matches you have ever seen.

Sucks for them, they actually had a good team this time around and still fucked it up, but the only reason they are a regular fixture in the world cup is they classify through CONCACAF, the downie special eds league. I believe this actually hurts Mexico a lot, they never compete at a high level until the world cup actually starts then they shit the bed.

I don't have proof for this but I think it's highly likely that these billion dollar events do get manipulated to some extent.

The same way very rarely only completely irrelevant teams fall through the doping test. "Soccer is a clean sport". :story:

for the two goals that made the morale difference.
You can see the whole thing crumbling in that moment.

with no backbone nor backup plan to accomodate for this,
and no cheering from their fans, being locals,

Belgium showed a gruyere defense,
their goalkeeper kind of sucked and they were also
running on nerves that a cheering crowd could have exploited,
but the lack of partnerships within the US team ended up
sealing the deal and handing a broad goal difference

(and hands down the one with the most vomitive alt-jersey colours).

Add to that the whole red card ruckus
(doesn't matter what side you're on, everyone got free ammo
to take potshots, which became fair game in the name of
gossip controversy, tribalism and moral posturing) and there you go:

USA 1 - Belgium 4.
Certainly not Brazil 1- Germany 7.

I know my guy, I was just pointing out how retarded it is to claim Mexico has good football heritage when that's categorically untrue.
The only reason they are so high on rankings is because they are CONCACAF and beat on some bumfuck caribean countries. Merging CONMEBOL and CONCACAF would improve the CONCACAF level, but it would be a pain in the ass for the libertadores because of all the extra travelling.

The media is just like that too, they glaze their league and NT and cope non stop. In my decades of watching I don't recall seeing a pro not get the kick off right and give their opposing team a free kick, LMAO

Damn, RIP CUM. I still think based on what I've heard from people abroad that the US was great as far as hosting goes, at least a lot better compared to Qatar.
Maybe I'm just a defeatist but I cannot see us beating the Argies. maybe if we actually won against anyone that wasn't new zealand(no offence to any kiwis here), didn't get by on two draws(one as a result of one of the dumbest offside calls) and penalties I would have been more optimistic.
 
I'd genuinely rather watch college football than soccer because it is more entertaining. Like who even cares about some turd worlder game where they never score.
 
It comes to every nation eventually in these kinds of tournaments. I just wish America went out with a really good game instead of standing around with our thumbs in our asses. Gg next time we’ll get the best cottonpickers imaginable to play this sport.
