I think City have the title in the bag after that first half display. Arsenal are showing nothing going up front, I don’t even think they’ve even had a shot on target. Arsenal aren’t going to score 3 goals in the second half and I’d be shocked if City don’t score again anyway.
Yeah the title is over. All thats left is to see if Real Madrid prevent them from winning the treble. Otherwise its back to everyone complaining over the summer that City win everything.

The past few years, the relegation scrap in the Premier League has been more interesting than the title race. This year is no exception, and it's amazing that Southampton lasted this long. I think they're still going down. The prospect of Everton going down also interests me, because here's the second longest stay in the English top flight (only behind Arsenal), not to mention the money thrown absolutely everywhere. Just for increasingly shit results.

Even if it is City, I'd rather someone else win the Champions League instead of fucking Real Madrid. I'm so sick of them.

If Madrid get to the finals, I am cheering for whichever Milan team makes it. Would love to see an Italian team actually win the Champions League this year. Would really fuck with the notion that money is ruining the sport

Brentford's European dream might be over, but least we'll still get to annoy Liverpool and Spurs in the coming weeks.

Fuck St. Pauli and fuck their faggy commie fans.

I find it both amusing and disturbing that footy teams in Europe actually embrace political sides and make them part of their identity. You rarely see that down here in South America, and when you do, it's usually a small contingent of loud fans that don't really represent the club as a whole. Of course, that is "changing".
I actually remember I saved an image years back of Italian ultras and their political leanings, apparently compiled by the police.

I may be bias but this Palace and West Ham game has been wild. Tit-for-tat goals all game. 1 minute left and my heart can’t take it.

Edit: What the fuck is with these rogue refs who play 9 minutes extra time when told it’s supposed to be 6. And they wonder why we think they’re paid off.

Última edición:

Pretty bold decision, wonder if this will work or they'll have to give up due to decreasing profits.
My first thought is, why would anyone pay to go to a game when you can just get a free ticket? I wouldn't want to be subsidizing ticket price for other people, especially if they get seats just as good or better than me

And meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund bottled again, this time against lowly Bochum. Bayern practically was handing the Bundesliga title on a silver platter, then they took care of business against a Hertha Berlin side likely to get relegated.

Not sure if Dortmund bottled it yet.

Dortmund has to go against
- Wolfsburg (H)
- Mönchengladbach (H)
- Augsburg (A)
- Mainz (H)

Bayern has to go against
- Bremen (A)
- Schalke (H)
- RB Leipzig (H)
- Köln (A)

On the first look it seems Bayern has the easier schedule left with only RB being a real threat. But Bremen might be capable pulling off another surprise win. Bayern looked like shit against Hertha. Hertha are last in Bundesliga and Bayern still has the best offensive. A 2:0 with the first goal only scored in the 70th minute or so is not good.

There are two thoughts I have at the moment:
- Should Bayern win Bundesliga this year it's probably their worst championshit run in these 11 years of Bayern dominance. What does say about the quality of Bundesliga? And Bayern itself?
- We might live in the worst timeline possible with a 11th Bayern win of Bundesliga in a fucking row while RB Leipzig win the DFB cup back-to-back.

Dark times for football pureists and romanticists :(
