The Liepzig v Atalanta match up is the only Europa league match worth watching as a neutral
I kinda wish I saw the Rangers game yesterday. Based Red Star supporters reminding NATO they are not a moral authority.

Conflicting reports about Rüdiger to Juventus. Looks like it's fake news though

Unfathomably based football banners are one of my favourite things in the world. This is up there with the Warsaw Uprising tifo, and '15.4.89 Sheffield God Exists'.

That 15.4.89 banner is perfect. Liverpool fans crying over Hillsborough but being incapable of understanding that, like Heysel, it was all their fault are a large part of the reason why I can't stand the murdering red shite.

Let's dive into this just a little bit - if your own fans are crushed to death because a bunch of your own fans decide to rush the turnstiles to try and get into a game for which they don't have tickets, just maybe, your own fans who are incapable of acting like human beings are the ones at fault. Not the stadium and not the police.

FA Cup was an absolute non-event today. For all the talk of big clubs not taking it seriously anymore they always seem to find their way to the latter stages. That’s not me saying they secretly do take it seriously, more that I wish they dropped out of it as quickly as a team not taking it seriously should. Having teams that give a shit would certainly make these sorts of rounds more interesting.

The FA Cup set up and the premier league wealth of talent is set up to keep these clubs in the tournament for a while. Premier League clubs come in at the 3rd round of this competition when most of the other teams who would take it seriously are already out. Aside from that, U-23 teams from most of these premier league teams could probably compete for spots on Championship and League 1 sides who still get in the competition. So you throw the best of those U-23s and some bench warmers who need game time on a team and none of the lower level teams will stand a chance.

Then some premier league teams will end up in the quarter finals where they start to get wide eyed as this might be their chance to win a trophy this year and get into Europe so everyone will forget they underperformed in the league

It’s far and away most fun in the 1st to 3rd Rounds, where you have a mix of big names and non-league amateurs from shithole commuter towns. Even if there’s no shocks it’s still a novelty. Granted I am biased as a non-league fan.

I suppose ultimately the global casual viewing audience that the modern game courts is most interested in headline fixtures like Man U v Liverpool which are never guaranteed, which makes it harder to market than the PL or CL.

Oh even before the 1st round is still fun. The semi pro and pub league teams scrambling to get just a chance to play against a pro team and potentially make a career out of football.

Idk how the rest of the global audience views it, but in the states I think the FA cup is paywalled behind ESPN plus which absolutely sucks ass

I'm interested in knowing what some of your guys' all time favorite goals are. Excluding goals from top clubs from the Premier League and La Liga, preferably, since we've probably all seen the all time great goals over and over at this point. Looking for gems from lesser covered leagues and clubs. I wouldn't object to something along the lines of Jordan Ayew's wondergoal vs West Ham which would have been a goal of the season contender and had documentaries made about it had he been wearing a Manchester United shirt.

This is one of mines.

If you showed someone who didn't know any better a 144p version of this with washed out colors and film grain they'd probably mistake it for a bit of magic from Zidane. Incredible.
