I keep wondering if Tumblr kicking them all to the curb and ceasing to be their containment zone explains the sudden, mile long spike in bitching that scrolls through my feed lately regarding furries engaged in callout culture and openly ripping each other to pieces over trivial shit OR if I haven't realized how shitty the fandom has become over time.

Oh it's been happening for ages. Maybe Tumblr just pushed them to the callout friendly platform which is twitter

Another good way of starting drama in the furry fandom is to take the piss out of furry stereotypes, or in this case stereotypes of dangerhair furries. A furry artist named whaleoil decided to draw two images mocking furries with opossum fursonas, grouping them into "edgy delinquent punks, and depressed retail workers." Needless to say, it hit the nail on the head so well that woke furries attacked him for putting text saying to donate to exceptional kids even though it was likely based on old signs that said that.

"yikes" "r-slur" "in 2019"

Unsurprisingly the yikes oof Twitter accounts found it and since the guy was into military LARPing online and edgy humor blood was smelt in the water:

There are definitely ratkings/ratking like groups in the furry fandom. Dogpatch imploded because he thought he controlled a group like that, but he went against the group and blamed us for it.
It’s funny because anyone with a sense of humor that has a possum character knows it’s true.

Tumblr had slowly been dying before the porn ban, and it's audience was fleeing to Twitter. To make matters worse, Twitter became hyper political as well thanks to the aftermath of GamerGate with blocklists, bans, shadowbans, and "throttling".

During that time, Twitter became the place to be for furries. Furries dumped their art there for combating people reposting their art without 6000 do not steal watermarks art theft and for retweets. In turn a lot of overly political furries were joining the fandom and Twitter with the turning points being Trump winning the election and RMFC 2017 being canceled thanks to Twitter drama. Nowadays there's crossover with furries and a lot of woke Twitter leftists, along with furries and the Rat King. Alex Leal and Matt Myers have threads that were originally from that subforum and now their threads are here for a reason.

This makes me wish Twitter was the one dying than Tumblr - but, when will that ever become a possibility?

The furry fandom has always been a place of drama, it's just that Twitter harbors the perfect environment to spread it. Twitter feeds on drama because of how everybody feels the need to share their opinion.

Tumblr had been plagued with management issues for years, which Twitter hasn't. There's definitely been an increase of sjw bullshit, art theft and all over sperg behavior since the announcement in November and the Kero drama though. Twitter is steadily trying to kill off it's huge artist base by making the compression worse, so what we're left with is literal trash furries. With people like Trump promoting the platform and it's huge global audience yeah unfortunately it isn't gonna die.

Instagram is 10x worse though, most tumblr users went there instead of Twitter because image platform (with worse image quality and more theft). The great thing about it is that there's a lot more trolls on IG so you can at least get a laugh out of it.

I don't understand how rags can take a subject that can be summed up in like 10-15 mins and push it to around 3 hours in some cases.

Also rags is friends with another furry you-tuber who was in trouble a while back for child grooming

Wolf has since issued a video defending himself here. For some reason he’s unlisted it.

he also changed his story more then once about her.

From what I learned looking into it the girl involved refused to continue with the police. Due to her having to have her mother present with her for the 2nd police interview on the subject and she didn't want her to know about all the deviant art porn she draws for you-tubers . such as digby the goat and spockter.

the pinecone guy is a spug who seams to have gave up on it and distanced himself from her
apparently he was doxed by some of the people close to wolf and after a few threats and such he went and removed his posts about it and had that setup chat with wolf himself. end of the day wolf is a creepy fuck who hangs out with edgy teens and sent a video of himself humping some pillows to a 14 year old.

Everything about his fursona just screams "pedophile" to me, and I think what cinches it is the goatee on a wolf.

That's just bad news right there.

The furry fandom never ceases to amaze me, even in times of loss and mourning.

Anybody even slightly involved in furry Twitter recently will know of a older bloke called Dogbomb. He had ALS, and ended his life only hours ago whilst the disease couldn't worsen the quality of it.

His story has gone down a treat: he lived his life to the fucking fullest and didn't give a shit about having ALS. He spread positivity and happiness whilst laughing in death's face, donated his body to a medical school, and took part in a marathon. Depressingly, his contagious ways only got the love they deserved when he was on his way to play his golden harp, with fanart and animations flooding in daily.

Furfags are already using Dogbomb's legacy and death as a chance to grant themselves a free pat on the back and bring up the whole "See guys, we're not so bad afterall!" argument all over again, previously at it highest point during the zoosadism leaks. This example, in a group chat I lurk in, really ground my gears.

"The fandom needed people like him." "We lost one of our best"

Yes, my sweet Prince, I'm sure only you guys needed him, not his wife and family; only you and your fetish. I'm sure his children didn't lose a father, or his parents a son: only the furry fandom truly lost somebody.

Rate me mad on the internet or powerlevel, but this one has really gotten me livid.

Dogbomb was a pretty swell guy. I only recently heard of him, but what an inspiration. His following raised over $33k for ALS research and only ever seemed to spread fun and a really wholesome positive attitude. Gods knows the world could use more of that.
Seems weird to see someone's twitter after their death and see that '5h' next to their last ever message.

As for the people exploiting it, these people couldn't find their asses with both hands, they're just fucking oblivious to the detriment of everyone else.

Dogbomb was one of those rare, genuine people in the fandom, and I think the best way for people to remember him is to do so by living their lives to the fullest.

But the thing is, is that these kinds of people aren't exclusive to the furry fandom and neither should they be used as a whitewash for all of the atrocities that happen. The furry fandom is rotten at the core with zoo and pedophilia, Dogbomb just happened to be a decent guy who liked fursuiting and using his suit to cheer people up. The guy, from everything I've been able to find out over the years, hasn't been anything but a good person and I'm not surprised that they're using him as a martyr for the fandom and how "pure and loving" they actually are.

I'm with you in that it's infuriating that the fandom he loved and wanted to see do better things, is just going to use him and his memory as a means to try and hide the insidious parts. He had a positive influence on more than just furries with his charity work and his altruistic views, he wasn't and shouldn't ever be just a furry icon-

-but hell, maybe I'm just drunkenly optimistic in hoping that at least some people use his example to become better people who aren't caught up in petty politics and learn how to live better and productive lives.

What if people are mourning him because the disease he was stuck with was completely unfair and also that he was one of the only truly good people in the fandom?

What if we REALLY lost one of our best? What if we REALLY needed more people like him in the fandom? Can you imagine if there were more dogbombs and less jasonafexes in the fandom?

As far as I'm concerned, you're the only one who infers that the other furries are so selfish as to not even consider his loved ones in the grand scheme of things.

So please, kindly, don't stir shit up just mere hours after he died, huh?
