Why are there so many furries in states like fucking Arizona. There are so many furries in effectively the middle of nowhere or in small, secular communities. Maybe it's because sometimes instead of being bullied out if their oddball bozo phase by the locals they find these esoteric online niche communities and double down.

I'd imagine it's partially the fault of the internet, just like it influencing the fandom getting to this horrifying prevalence in general. Potential furries in more populated areas could at least be kept out of it by socializing with actual normal people but with less density these people gravitate towards the net for socialization. If you looked at furry populations pre-internet when it was still the "funny animal" community or whatever the population of funfags would better relate proportionally to population density. Or it's just the effect of weirder people in lower populations being more obvious.

Yeah I noticed too an increase of bluey shit on e621 and Fa and I have 3 theories about it: either they are just pedophile or (a little less probable) there is a trans character in that show that gives them some rEpReSeNtAtIoN or maybe they are simply former bronies coping with the end of their favourite show who are trying to migrate to the next "iT's NoT jUsT fOr KiDs" kids cartoon.

They live in the middle of nowhere, so they retreat to the internet. You absorb culture through your peers. If you grew up playing video games online and hung out with people who happened to be furries, you'd probably turn into one too.
