Funny comedian makes even funnier headlines at a tone deaf audience.

When are people going to realize that the general public is sick of hearing jokes about political subjects?

Comedy is supposed to be an escape from all of this shit, and when you make jokes about bipartisan topics, you're effectively alienating half of the audience.

I mean, this shit will work for the late-night cringemongers because their target audience already knows what their about, but stay out of everything else.

In 2016 I went to "Comics Come Home" and it was very funny. This was just after Trump had won the election. Then that fucking bitch Wanda Skikes (or however it's spelled) came on and just bitched for like 10 minutes about Trump and how we were all terrible people for letting him win. She got booed, heavily.

Then Dennis Leary came on after to 'apologize' and basically said this is a charity and she's doing this for free. But seriously, fuck her. I understand that she was pissed off that her fucking bitch candidate didn't win, but this is a fucking comedy show and we paid good money to laugh, not have some cunt-ass dyke POC tell us all that we suck.

I won't go to another comedy show that she's a part of, even if it's a tiny bit.

I don't think it is, I just think it's tired of comedy where politics are the joke, rather than the jokes being about politics. Too frequently it's like that bit from South Park where Whoopi Goldberg is just saying "Republicans are so stupid. I hate republicans." In front of a laugh track. Yes, Republicans are stupid (Mandatory disclaimer: So are Democrats, Libertarians, Greens, Independents, the Constitution Party, Communists, Nazis, Anarcho-Syndicalists, Anarcho-Capitalists, the Alaskan Independence Party...) But a flat observation isn't funny.

This was the White House Correspondent's Dinner as broadcast on C-Span you mong. What the fuck jokes are you expecting to be made in a room filled with the media and politicos, crying about airline seats?
 
This is painful to listen to. Why couldn't they invite Maria Bamford instead? She has a funny voice AND is funny.
Edit: Okay- her comment about how they hate Trump and "did you used to date him" made me laugh. Since they all do act like salty people who had a bad relationship with Trump and got dumped by him.

Her jokes were alright. I was mainly laughing at the fact they let a visibly retarded comedian host the dinner. I mean, if you're gonna go that route, just get Zach Anner. Dude has better material. :story:
