Not as bad as Dragon Age II (or Mass Effect Andromeda), but also not nearly as good as Origins. Story and characters are a massive mixed bag in quality. Its biggest issue for gameplay imo is that the game roadblocks its story progression with mandatory sidequesting/exploration, which becomes grating at points. You WILL run out of the more unique quests and have to grind out map exploration or collectathons at some point. You might be able to mod that out these days, though.

If anyone is interested I have all of the DLC files, they're 1kb each. You don't even to unlock them with screamapi. I pirated them the last time it was free on epic.
ETA: actually, I remembered, they're just text files if you make a file called, LordOfSkulls.dlc and Supplement1.dlc (up to Supplement13.dlc) and put the name of the file in the text file and put them into the data folder, you have all of the content unlocked. So no need to download sketchy files, kind of retarded.

I found it pretty fun for a few playthroughs with the DLCs, on hard difficulty it was pretty challenging. If anyone decides to play it, and unlock the DLCs, do yourself a favour and don't enable lord of skulls the first time. He likes to show up when you're engaged in heavy battle across the map and steamroll your base.
