🪦 Deceased Fredrick Brennan / Hotwheels / ctrlcctrlv / copypaste / Psiĥedelisto - 8chan Founder Turned Anti-Kiwi Activist, Former Wizardchan Admin, Font Aficionado, Eugenicist

I don't think he had a shred of guilt. I think he just grew bitter that the site users were constantly shitting on him, trolling him, and causing problems for him, and his falling out with Watkins was the last straw. Edit: half my post got deleted after internet disconnected, but in short the only thing he was upset about is that people were taking advantage of his professed "principled stance" instead of sucking his dick. He had an existential crisis of "woe is me, nobody appreciates what I've sacrified."
Yes, I don't think he ever truly had some sort of massive conviction about free speech, outside him seeing it as something that he could benefit on and get attention from. Once that fizzled out, he flipped because that's what he felt like he benefited most from at the time. I don't think Brennan's interests were in someone else but Brennan.

I never understood this mindset. Aside from what their disability prevents them from doing, people with full benefits have full freedom to pursue any goal they want. No obligation to slave away on a job you don't care about.
Maybe being productive comes easily to some hard-working go-getters like you. For the rest of us lazy bastards, it's easy to fall into niggerdom when we have gibsmedats and don't have to live with the fear of homelessness/starvation keeping us in line.

Because being disabled fucking sucks? Having to watch other people able to do anything they want while you struggle to piss in a pot is not fun. You're forced into an eternal loop of NEET living with no real goals or purpose because actually achieving things while disabled is hard.
There are two types of ppl on disability, some malingering types who have some issues, or are addicts, but their biggest problem is they can’t cope with the normal demands of life and physically disabled people who have physical limitations that make doing simple things incredibly difficult.

Ironically the latter are, by far, the most productive of the two. Fredrick, a midget with glass bones, accomplished more in his miserable life than an abled body NEET with depression or “back pain”. Over 60% of ppl on SSI receive for “mental health or intellectual deficiency”, not actual physical limitations. Though many pursue very shady methods to prove nebulous physical claims when they mental health route fails to get them a check.
Fredrick besides teaching himself software engineering, learned several languages and was into designing fonts (I have a big soft spot to font appreciators). He was a very motivated individual, until life and bad decisions crushed him and he went into a drug and degeneracy coma. (TBH Fredrick is a guy I think deserved to take all the narcotics he wanted given his condition but ofc that led to crippling addiction) I think Fredrick became very bitter and cruel due to his suffering. It’s a shame he ditched Catholicism when he left the Philippines, it might have made a big difference in his life. Or just read Man’s Search for Meaning.

The stick of survival, or that what you do everyday helps others, having a purpose or contributes to human knowledge is psychological vital for humans. But I think for most ppl the “stick of survival” is the motivator and once that is gone people melt into depressive lumps of sad and lazy.

One summer I got injured and was basically laid up in bed for six weeks in a cast. At first it was awesome, I read a bunch books I had been meaning too. I wrote essays. I was still productive. By week four I was miserable and just shit posting on SOmething Awful bemoaning losing a precious summer month in my late teens. I think many people on disability are similar. At first the idea of much of life’s pressures being removed seems great, but over time it becomes miserable and life becomes Groundhog Day. The fact that many ppl end up pursuing disability benefits due to “mental health” reasons really ups this number.

8chan wasn't his first big imageboard. He got kicked out of Wizchan and was looking for another site to admin. It was never about principals.
hmmm........That actually makes sense. I've seen that happen a few times with obviously less success and do it either because they want to be censorship karens, or butthurt the main site kicked them out for being a complete idiot, and they cry about "their free speech". So if 8chan was started out of butthurt, that actually tracks.

Ball washing a dead cripple is pathetic.

You have no idea what it's like to be disabled and you just insulted people who are. It's not "I broke my arm and it'll get better in a month". That is hope at the end of the tunnel. You know if you just wait it out it gets better. Most people with serious disabilities don't get better. They manage it better but the conditions remain and it fucks up their lives. It's the equivalent of you saying "I smoked weed once" when someone has a crack addiction they're pimping themselves out for. It's not the same thing and you have no idea what it's like.

No need to be so defensive and you seem to miss the point I was even making.

As I said I put people with severe physical disabilities, and disease, in a different category but they are surprisingly productive on average compared to people with “mental health” Dx. It is the curse of an active mind in a fucked up body, but they usually do better than diseased mind in healthy body.

I’m not ball washing Fredrick. Anybody should be impressed by his skills and productivity for a guy with a truly horrible debilitating condition. A 19 year old foster care kid with brittle bone disease had managed to self-teach himself enough coding skills to land a job as a software engineer and move to Brooklyn. That’s far more impressive than what 99% of what most able body people accomplish by 19.

It actually sounds like he followed in his mom’s footsteps, who had less severe OI. She also pursued a career and tried to work when she was young, but eventually got ground down by life’s difficulties and a bad relationship. She was far more physically able than Frederick, she was able to drive and worked at casinos as an adult. She’s still alive and kicking too.

I’ve known several ppl with severe physical disabilities, were very active and ambitious when young, but it seems like once their 30’s hit they get ground down and lose steam. Everyday life is exceedingly difficult and dispiriting. Some became very bitter, isolated and even cruel, but its understandable given what they deal with.

Fredrick’s story isn’t that unusual in that respect. Nobody should be surprised by his cruel streak or cruel behavior, not because of disease but that certainly added to his burden, but the fucked up family situation he was raised in. It was grim af which is what made what he accomplished btw 17-27 so extraordinary.

If you took away Fred’s disease, what he suffered mentally thanks to his parents would have probably caused a lot of problems eventually. He had no idea what a productive, stable life was because he had never experienced it. Fred might have turned out very differently if he had a stable, supportive home as a kid. He got the severe short end of the stick at every turn in life.

The adventure and novelty of adulthood wears off for most by 27 and expectations and responsibilities rise fast, which is what crushes a lot of people (irrespective of disability status).

My personal experience is less with people with physical disabilities but those who claim “mental health” issues or nebulous, ill defined chronic pain to get a disability stipend. One of my high school friends was from a family that was three generations of SSI “nut checks” and bad backs, They were just too impulsive, lazy, unstable and surly to hold jobs. They collected SSI checks, welfare benefits for kids and had various addictions that ruled their lives. Somehow she and her sister managed to escape that life, but they were the outliers.

Out of college I worked briefly at a law firm that handled SSI claims. It was truly depressing how parents on SSI marched in healthy 18 or 19 year olds to start strategies to “get them a check”. They had no expectations for their kids except to get a govt check. They liked to begin claims at 18, so after a few years of appeals and new Dx from shady doctors, when they finally got approved they got a “back pay” check all the way back to when the first claim was filed.

I only lasted a few months because it was so grim and sad. It was a very sad path for parents to put their children on, but these parents were stupid and greedy. Living off of welfare was the norm, they all felt like they were sly getting “free money” and didn’t understand the price they had ultimately paid for a small monthly check. These people all had very sad, mean, little lives. The check seemed more a curse, than blessing imo.
met someone with IO once, it's very rare. There's arguments for forced sterilization and I think genetic defects like IO would be a good one.
It can occur due to spontaneous mutation or recessive carriers but that is rare, it is usually inherited via autosomal dominant pattern. 90% of the cases are due to one parent being afflicted. Basically one parent being affected with OI gives a 50% chance offspring will be afflicted. Fred’s mom had it and both her kids have it. They got fucked on both coin flips.

What varies is the severity, it’s classified from I-IV. This is probably why the gene has continued on. People with Type I, the least severe form may not even know they have the condition, or it’s not recognized until they are adults. It’s not debilitating but you definitely have to be more catious and careful and will probably suffer a lot more in old age. This is why it’s managed to continue in the gene pool. If everyone was afflicted as severely as Fred there would be no offspring to pass on the gene.

But someone with Type I can have a child like Fredrick, who was Type III. It sounds like his mother was Type II, so it affected her but not nearly as severely as Fred. I have no idea how severe his sibling OI is, one can only hope it’s Type I or II.

Última edición:
His mother had it. His father did not. His mother was a Ukrainian immigrant iirc, or the child of one.
If it is the autosomal dominant type then there's a 50% chance he would be born with it - really fucked up and someone who shouldn't be having kids (his mother or father, whoever it was that had the trait, and they fucking knew it would do this) - again a case for sterilization.

Any one with a serious medical condition has mental health problems because of it. You cannot split the two apart when it comes to life long disability. They feed into each other because the physical body responds to the mental well being.

It's not difficult to be a diversity hire. A potato you can put in the corner is perfect. Strange how you keep calling him Fred when no one else does. Personal connection?

So you don't know what you're talking about because "ill defined chronic pain" is actually very accurate for most chronic pain conditions. Pain is very complex and it doesn't just manifest in a single way. I support people like this and it can change from moment to moment. It's hard to define because the people suffering from it's bodies are sending all kinds of fucked up and weird signals to the brain manifesting weird types of pain or sensation.

Plenty of disabled people look perfectly healthy until you see them behind closed doors. The problem with seeing disabled people with flexible conditions is they don't leave the house until they're capable of it. It's one of the problems with disabled parking being complained about. A seemingly healthy person gets out of the car and walks off, but you don't know if they're 2 steps away from collapsing in agony or larping. Fakers do exist and I have no sympathy for them. But you seem really ignorant of disabilities.
