Whenever you think the others have closed the gap Merc pulls out the turbo. And i found it funny how the Sky reporters gushed how quick hamilton was only to see him relegated to P5. Let's see how it will go tomorrow as they announced rain for the rest of the weekend
 
Yay! My favorite driver sent it into the wall and will spend the rest of the weekend competing for best of the bottom 4! Can we go back to the Nurburgring already?
 
the 2026 shitboxes are 2 seconds slower in canada than last years. doesnt sound like much but this is a 1:15 track. its just superclip city, all straights and fast chicanes. i think the race will be a beautiful highlight of just how dogshit these regs are.
 
I had half a thought to venture up to Montreal for the weekend, now with F2 there it would have been a bit better bang for the buck than the 5 prior times I went to the GP in Mtl. But with these retarded regs and much earlier place in the calendar I didn't think it would be a pleasant experience in store for the money that would be spent.

And now looking at the weather, glad I didn't. I was at the race in 2000 where it fucking downpoured near the end of the race and it was chilly (for mid-June). Walking 2 hours across the bridge after leaving the track to get to downtown Montreal in massive rain was not our brightest idea. But tomorrow looks like even worse for temps:

11C is like 53F or something. LOL My near 60 year old mind and body would not be handling that shit.

Given that, expect not much racing due to muh safety. Rain is one thing, but its going to be quite cold which everyone said was the fear by switching Montreal. Here in Canada, May isn't summer. Mid-June is when we start getting regularly over 20C consistently.

Kinda interesting how the Mercs lost their pace after a few laps. Also Hamilton loosing big in the end, probably destroyed his tyre which led to him being relegated to P6 (plus he is investigated for gaining an advantage when he cut the final corner 1 lap prior to Piastri overtaking him)
