News flash, you're targeting an audience that is by far not the majority of racing fans.

Calling it "F1 academy" was a dumb move too since typing that into Google brings up a load of nonrelated links including formula student and several motorsports colleges.

Yikes. So that, on top of the bitchy commentator, on top of not broadcasting, on top of all the girls looking like Instagram models (which makes me wonder where in the fuck they came from and if this is all one horny grift from senior citizens) on top of the shitty name...again (Formula Woman just rubbed me the wrong way and Formula Academy, as you said, being such a dull name.

Yeah, the writing is on the wall already. Honestly, the only one worth a damn from the whole thing was Jamie Chadwick and she's not even there anymore.

But something something female empowerment, something something girls can do anything, something something girls can be just as good as boys. So let's show that by not having them race with the boys - somehow!

Danica Patrick and Milka Duno sucked balls but they also weren't coddled like this. Neither were less annoying female drivers like Tatiana Calderón and Simona de Silvestro who btw was critical of W series.

Wonder how she feels about them fucking doing it all over again but somehow even worse.

Edit: Danica did get her proverbial dick sucked when she went to NASCAR but she also raced with the men so she at least had the chance to prove herself.

She didn't but that's a different story.

If you ignore the whole max walking away at the front this year has had some of the best racing we've had on a few seasons.

Pretty much any team other than AT are capable of Q3 making it close to get out of Q2 with quite a few big names falling there this year. Then the racing has generally been quite close, again outside of Max calling the rest of the field is difficult and seems to go on a track by track basis.

All places except 1st in the WCC are up for grabs and basically anything behind Max in the WDC have a few competing for them.

I can't think of another recent season it has been this wide open in the midfield and it has been showing on track.
 
So far the Haas upgrades appear to have done jack shit as both of them are dead last in the first practice. Hulk lost some part of his car somehow. The Williams really is a fast machine in straights, the broadcast had Albon going faster than Max and Checo there, though not by much for Max. Russell’s steering is pretty fucked. Checo hit a random bag.
 
I think the Haas were on long runs rather than fast laps trying to get data on their tyre longevity problems so not really representative.


The mercs were all over the road and looked a dog to handle but they were on mediums compared to everyone else's softs so again not really representative.


Edit: so they have naomi shit, carun, and crofty doing the practice so why not just talk shit and banter with Ted rather than you know speaking about the god damn sport they're paid to talk about.

Not everyone has the desire or the ability to be a CEO or world champion. If you can become famous and get paid at a lower level, then there's no fire under your ass forcing the issue. This is why I think women's Esports became a meme. They wanted to accelerate the woman world champion so badly that they ended up creating a parallel league instead.

When Judit Polgar was at her strongest, she never played for the Women's Title. She competed among her peers - who were men that were ultimately stronger players than she was. As a result, she's the greatest woman in Chess, but never had the official crown.
I always say that women should have the self-confidence that they are as good as male players, but only if they are willing to work and take it seriously as much as male players.

This seems somewhat true with Hulk’s times in the second practice, but K Mag is still dawdling.

I think Albon has an outside chance at a podium spot with the times he’s been putting up so far, but that may be optimistic considering how Williams has performed this year. I don’t trust Sargeant’s times since he’s been straight ass. Russell is still complaining about the steering even with softs, so there may be an underlying issue with his car. Haven’t heard Hambone bitching about it, so I believe it’s not just a Merc thing.
 
Mercedes seems to have make more longruns. Sainz was suprised about Hamilton's time on softs (33.6) But in comparism: Verstappen did a longrun and he did a 33.1 So maybe Mercedes is sandbaging but still not near anywhere the rest. Also the fastest on the straight: Sainz, Sargeant and Verstappen with 325 kph. Williams will be a bitch to be stuck behind

Not to say that she was terrible in Indycar - she was not - but that's a series with lighter cars where being a couple dozen pounds lighter and smaller can be a real advantage. (Smaller matters less now with the aeroscreen.)
 
Ferrari prioritising Leclerc again for some reason. I'm fine with team orders when it makes sense but it's not like Leclerc is in the running for WDC or anything. It just causes disharmony in the team which helps no-one.

Which says truly foul things about Milka Duno, who was flat-out just bad. And slow. Reeaaally slow

Is this genuine pace, I wonder, or the product of an unusual qualifying session and Silverstone's weird micro-climate? I would be very happy if the podium were the current top three drivers on the grid, but let's see who can hold onto their position and who goes backwards. Thunderstorms are forecast for tomorrow so it may be a chaotic race.

With how McLaren did with upgrades last race in Norris, I think they will stick around. I do think that the Williams does very well due to numerous long straights. Agreed that this could be somewhat of a one off, but Albon had done decently on other tracks. Haas might be able to stumble into points since Hulk is good in the wet.
