There's another explanation and it's that Verstappen is a genuinely legendary driver at the top of his career in a car that suits him and a track he loves. He pulled off a similar dominant performance at Spa back in Formula 3 where he absolutely fucking shit on the rest of the field.Looks pretty bad for Perez tho, he should have been the favourite to win it if Max's pace is what can be extracted from the RedBull.
For a team that only knows how to invade Pole. The best part is when Alonso called him out on the radio as only knowing how to drive from Pole.![]()

Hell, he's only ahead of Russell by 16 points and Hamilton by 40. There's a non-zero percent chance he ends up 6th in the championship if things continue as they have been.Looking at the WDC standings right now two interesting points are brought to mind.
Call me cocky but I'm gonna predict that Sainz ends up ahead of Leclerc by the end of the season. Again. Insert Rosberg meme here.
- Perez is now 5 points ahead of Leclerc and it could be that it's a RB WDC 1-2 this year.
- If Sainz' car didn't burn down in Austria he'd be tied with Leclerc right now if he took 3rd at that race, or ahead of Leclerc if he took 2nd.
Thank you for putting my feeling about Leclerc into words. I've always felt something off about him until I realized he gives off Coulthard vibes. Fantastic on a good day, hyped up a lot on most days, ended up being edged out by his more consistent teammate, had the misfortune of being in the prime of his career when a legend was dominating everything. I hope I'm wrong about that feeling though. If Eclair somehow gets 6th, it would be the worst finish for the winner of the first race since David Coulthard in 2003.
I mean, it's the only way he's had much of an impact on the on-track action, ever.Ver archivo adjunto 3653540
