Once in awhile you'll end up seeing stories about food delivery apps failing to serve their customers. Apps such as SkipTheDishes and UberEats to name a few are notorious for this. Those often include drivers or couriers messing up orders and in some case drivers even stealing, mishandling and eating your orders. Customers who complained about their orders being wrong or stolen tried to get a hold of these companies for reparations end up getting ignore by these companies (sometimes even blocked). Needless to say food delivery apps and practices are extremely flawed and those using it risk losing more money off of mishandled items that costs more than just getting the food yourself due to delivery fees. So it's just better worth getting the food yourself or saving money buying groceries which is less expensive.

Once I ordered lunch through Door Dash. This was pre-covid, so they still handed the food to you instead of leaving it on the ground, but this guy was ahead of the game.

He goes to hand me the food, the greasy paper bag breaks, fries and burgers all over the floor. Guy just looks at it and walks away without even grunting to acknowledge the mess. Fun times.

I've only used them I think twice. I live in a rural-ish area, there isn't much food delivery around me even with those apps, so I just don't get delivery very often. But there's only PJ's if I want to get delivered pizza without using a delivery app, and PJs is worse than nothing. So I've tried ordering pizza through them a couple times.

It took twice as long as pizza delivery should take, so the pizza was cold, and I had to pay more than I should (Between delivery charge and tip I think I tacked another 12-15 bucks onto my bill).

Just decided it wasn't for me.

Couple years ago I was hanging out with my brother and nieces and decided to order us pizza. Ordered online and checked the option to meet the delivery guy at the door.

Pizza guy gets here and is just sitting in his car in front of the house for a solid five minutes without getting out. I finally step outside to see what’s going on. Car doors fly open, out scrambles this loser in his 50s who hurriedly puts on a face diaper, eyes bulging out in mortal terror. He grabs the pizzas, not moving one inch from his car and starts screaming “NO CONTACT! NO CONTACT! JUST LEAVE THE PIZZA ON THE DRIVEWAY HUH OK HUH OK HUH OK?!?!?!” and books it the hell out of there while I’m standing there completely flabbergasted at a loss for words. Ended up taking his tip away.

Fucking freak.

I've had over 600 deliveries done by Wolt and I haven't had a single issue so far. Most of the deliverymen are Indian and they're fast and extremely polite. I think the Western world's food delivery problem is most likely due to niggers.

I got someone elses order. It was also overpriced despite the coupon (pretty sure the other charges were greater than the Uber eats coupon). Never ordered again and only did it because I was recovering from an injury.
