- Ikner apparently developed a longterm parasocial relationship with chatgpt over the span of a year and used it as a type of confidant and sounding board, often asking it for advice and direction in most areas of his life
- The logs supposedly show that he was interested in many topics and talking points of the online/dissident/alt right
- It's claimed that Ikner referred to himself as an "incel." The descriptions make him sound like a kissless virgin who obsessed about any foid that would give him attention, including a supposedly underage Italian girl he was corresponding with online
- He also regularly seethed about being a 5'5" manlet LOL
- The family of one of the victims are suing openAI and allege that Ikner was directly assisted by chatgpt, allowing him to commit the shootings
- Specifically on the day of the incident, he inquired about the busiest time on campus, how many victims he'd need to kill to receive media coverage, and how to turn the safety off on the shotgun he was using (wtf)
Also, the judge who was initially presiding has received special permission to remain on the case, at his request, despite his recent appointment to the appellate court. The trial is still on track to begin October of this year.
