My very first thread OP so bear with me.

I'm looking for a flip phone with support for at least 4g lte so it can last the longest

I use a AT&T ZTE full keyboard phone (I think this one, it's a little hard to tell with some of the newer models) that I've had for over 7 years now and it's still kicking. It's nice if you like to text but it's not a flip phone obviously. I've actually had my eye on that new Nokia 3310 for a while just for aesthetic purposes but I haven't had a reason to replace my old one yet.

For network I use Airvoice Wireless which uses AT&T's network so this may vary for your area. It used to be $20 a month, but I just checked and it looks like i'm being charged $18 now for unlimited talk and text (I think about 1gb of data too which I don't use) You can use Tracfone but I've personally had bad experiences and getting charged every time you get a text or call just feels bad.

I wish I could find the site but I know there used to be a forum for unlocked/dumbphone users and they had a great list/comparison of providers. The best I can find is this spammy looking site, but the comparisons and links do seem to be legit.

I know several old people who swear by those Jitterbug phones. They are designed to survive elderly dropping them off the table at the bingo hall and the circuitry can probably repel lung searing vapors that escape from their bodies.

One of the Alcatel ones that run that FirefoxOS fork probably best. Rootable, unlockable, great band support. T-Mobile sells them.

Kyoceras are pretty pricey but coming from someone who has a bias towards rugged phones the Dura series flip phones should suffice. You may as well go with the LTE models since that's going to be the default standard you have to settle for. Sometimes you gotta chew a bit of shit to keep things simple so if you have any stipulations towards privacy, keep it to the bare minimum.

I am thinking about switching on a dumb-phone.
The phone should be able to be used as a hotspot, have 4G support in EU and have 3.5mm port, memory card.
