I'm curious what the hell they were doing with this game that made it take 3+ years to develop despite being just a remake/port of the most technologically simple game in the franchise.

I'm gonna guess it's the Goodbye Volcano High situation in which the devs just dicked around and sat on their asses while they let the game stagnate to the point where no one gives a shit.

Bonus points if there's discord snapshots of them being spergs.

I find it a bit sad that people attach to Glamrock Freddy. Its not that he isnt a good character, its just that he clearly starts to represent to many fatherless boys on how they wanted their dads being like, this big protective compassionate figure.

Besides, it also highlights how little there are of those in modern media (the strong supportive protective father) that people just kind of get attached to the little they get.

Once this project's death is made official, I hope the dev build gets released or leaked. I'm curious what the hell they were doing with this game that made it take 3+ years to develop despite being just a remake/port of the most technologically simple game in the franchise.

All it had to be was Fnaf 1 remastered with very little mechanical updates (since a charm of Fnaf is its gameplay simplicity thats easy to use but hard to master), something taking this long to come out clearly indicates some serious issues somewhere.

The other extreme of "a delayed game is eventually good" argument is that development hell is a thing and they usually happen as symptom of something or somethings keeping the project from moving forward.

Looked it up GVH, it looks like the gayest shit ever. Shit like this is why people barely take the virtual novel concept seriously because it feels like its a dumpster ground for crap like this.

In the end he got exactly what he wanted, completely removed himself from fnaf and the fnaf community to focus on being the popular streamer he always wanted to. Now he's even legally obligated to completely remove fnaf from his name and might need to remove his past streams. Ironically, this all started because fnaf fans asked him to play Ruin when he didn't want to, now he will no longer have people to tell him anything like that and will literally be unable to without breaking his contract. I really don't think he will ever go back to fnaf after this, and obviously won't want to.

I just finished watching the Markiplier videos on Ruin.

So, thing I noticed... when you finally get to see what Cassie looks like (via all those cutouts that appear in AR mode)... okay, it may be low to make fun of a little kid's make-up (not that I agree with kids wearing make-up anyway, but)...... she kinda looks like she started painting herself like a clown, but stopped after doing the easiest parts. Green fingernails? Those half-circles above her eyes (and I think something below them?) I thought girls had better fashion sense than that.

Also I can't tell if she's supposed to be Asian/Indian or something, or if she just has a tan. I do find it funny the trailers showed a girl who was your standard all-American blonde. Different character maybe?

..... Theory-wise, at this point I think FNAF should just embrace the openly supernatural rather than try to rely on bullshit sci-fi. The series already has ghosts and soul juice, why not just say the VANNI mask is actually a magical object that is just pretending to be science because modern society is stupid like that and is more likely to believe in bullshit technology than in spiritual possession? I mean, the mask was blatantly teleporting Cassie around at points, literally making an enemy disappear, oh and after wearing it she can now see "distortions" even without it. Yes I caught the line about "implants" but some of us weren't born yesterday and know magic when we see it.

But you know this franchise is never gonna do something that makes sense (and the fanbase would probably bitch if they did).

Now that I think about it, fnaf+ and Goodbye Volcano High are surprisingly similar, they both took so long to make for how mechanically simple they seem (Scott was pumping these motherfuckers out like crazy back in the day, putting a slightly fresh coat of paint on an already finished game where you watch cams and close doors should have taken a few months, tops) that they're probably not even coming out, and had a way better fanmade version made (Snoot Game, for GVH) that took barely a quarter of the time they're taking.

I think it was just part of her birthday event at the Glamrock Salon. The colors are the same as the Roxy ones. Like getting your face painted at a carnival, not something you'd wear all the time.

The sci-fi stuff officially began with Sister Location and it kept growing from there on . Fnaf did seem to be pretty grounded in reality outside of the animatronic tech being more advanced and haunted in the pizzaria's case. The supernatural fit this series way better since it fit with its vague mysterious nature and the concept of the souls of the dead taking control of animatronics was a really fresh concept at the time.

Thats why Sister Location is kind one of the least favorite entries.

That's pretty much it, what's funny is that if he hadn't made those jokes and the fake apology and instead just told his fans to stop, none of this would have happened, he would still have a reputation and job, but in the end all of this was helpful for him since it finally compiled him to take a break from the internet, which is always good

Turns out that like many people, his whole schtick of being the edgy and toxic e-boy was out of a place of insecurity and attention whoreing, you can't claim to have a zero fucks given attitude and still act terminally online and lacting like the typical internet raised zoomer. He's closer to those immature teenagers who are edgy for the sake of being contrarian and feeling more intelligent than everybody else instead of using it to to have fun and troll people

As for fnaf plus, I don't think it's getting cancelled. They wouldn't miss out on some easy cash and especially out of nostalgia for the original game turning 10 soon and for fans desperate for a darker atmosphere closer to that game after being disappointed with Security Breach. Bonus points if after getting fired, Phil doesn't receive any cash from the game, that way all loyalties will go directly to their pockets. If what Morg said earlier about the game being complete wasn't a joke, them they wouldn't even need to bother hiring anyone to finish it.

I had a theory that Fnaf plus was gonna release on the august 8th to coincide with the anniversary of the original, but if that was true, than maybe they will wait a few more weeks to let the pr scandal fade out, they just need to get Phil completely out of the project and it will sell to all those people that wouldn't buy because of it.

I can't believe the guy that kept picking fights with people, popular FNaF content creators no less, kept shitting on Scott and the series as a whole, and constantly acted like an unlikable cunt got fired. I'm all for free speech and all, but badmouthing your boss is gonna get you fired eventually. It's funny how his dickriders act like it was just the latest controversy that got him fired, and not him constantly making an ass out of himself at every turn and refusing to finish the easiest entry of the big collaboration.

Speaking of the collaboration, shit feels cursed. FNaF Plus is cancelled, the guy behind Flumpty's was outed as a pedo, the Candy's game doesn't seem like it's ever coming out, and I think the Popgoes one came out, but no one cared.

Honestly not that sad to see FNAF+ go, it always felt like it was kind of uninspired. Part of the charm of the first FNaF was how the animatronics hit the right vibe of uncanny valley. We've all had nearly a decade to get desensitized to it but back in 2014 they really did look creepy in an unintended way, like you'd expect from animatronics. Phisnom's redesigns are too tryhardy in trying to be uncannily creepy. Other fangames have hit that mark well, drawing inspiration from things like the rubber faces of old Showbiz robots, instead of doing the generic sunken eyes, lots of teeth etc.
He's said on stream that they're intended to be just, scarier versions of the FNaF 1 animatronics, but he seems to miss that part of the horror comes from the familiarity of them. They feel like something you could see at a low budget pizzeria, which makes them feel just a bit more real.

Either way, he had it coming. The only reason he got the job in the first place, according to him, was from bitching at Scott about how he could make a better FNaF.
