With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

There is a 3rd type: the ex-fish. This type believes it knows what the audience wants and overdoes it. They become a mix of both in that they are boring yet push everything too far. Jon did this season 1 and Landon took the cake with this in season 5; going from fan favorite to one of cringiest fish to ever have been on the show.

Ex-Fish definitley comeback with the need to sort of one-up their experience as a contestant on the tank, and since they were entertaining enough to get reinvited, they usually just try to repeate/exagerate old bits. This doesn't work out for them though, as the audience expect them to act as a side charachter that enables the fish.

When Landon initally cameback, everybody was happy to wacth him interact with all of the fish again and passivley "flirt" with Vimp on the side. But when he resumes his bit of trying to be the drunk-mogging protagonist, the audience was much less charitable than they were when he was a contestant, leading to him getting massive ammounts of hate for the same kind of content he was making before. This lead to both Jon and Landon doubling down on whatever action they were taking, leading to both of them ruining their previous fishtank "legacy".

Ex-Fish need to understand that they are no longer a protagonist and act in a more supporting manner, but becaue Jon and Landon are litteral retards, they couldn't understand this.
 
Alex and Burt are the only good ex-fish to return (Maybe Letty too? She's a swut though) because they're fucking insane freaks. Binx being on S5 was detrimental, her coming in to fuck with Alex was funny for 1 minute because of his immediate reaction, running out of the room and falling down the stairs, but that's it.

Letty and Burt definitley have a good grasp on the audience and their role on the show, allowing them to troll/interact with the S4 and S5 orginal fish/freeloaders in entertaining ways, only "stealing the show" when prompted to by production. Alex B is just so freakishly demented that it's entertaining to watch for the audience and annoys other contestants into making content.

She was a weird one that's for sure, caught her a few times on other degen ip2 streams and clips.
