With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

Yeah, it's a soulless show with a bunch of D-tier streamers act black but the higher production quality is very noticeable from what I saw. They are doing the multi-cam thing as well, like that one fishtank restreamer "razzgo". Switching cams manually is only necessary because Mints is controlling the director cam and thinks Duanya talk about black dicks is what people want to hear. If they fired Mints to get someone more capable, I'd just leave it on TV and never switch from the director cam.

It will probably just devolve into "who can endure the most torture" because that's what all of ice's shit devolves into when he runs out of ideas.

I predict it will be occasionally kino, but Ice clearly doesn't get what the sauce that makes Fishtank good is.
Zero set design, cams on tripods hackjob, no weird giga-autists in the cast. Will give him props for not just making it all kick faggots and IP2 orbiters. Amray is a stream-sniper that his discord is obsessed with, they think he's a lolcow, he's just kind of a dork. foids seem like a good mix of weirdos, kick people, and thots, and Murat is an actual Cx lolcow who's bit is begging to meet up with ice, then crashing out and ditching him, weird guy, possible gay pedophile.

There's no interesting mechanics, the cast aren't terribly interesting or autistic, and there basically is no crew it seems. The only way this becomes kino is if Ice threw fuck-you money at someone and we get some house-wrecking(or if Frank pulls up)

Yea it seems wicked lazy. But I guess I can't say I expected them to actually setup cameras throughout a house and rig it like Fishtank.

All of these people are insufferable. The Fish usually have some degree of being endearing. None of these people have that. Hoping they do ramp up the torture, they all deserve it.
 
What most spinoff producers sans Roberto completely misunderstand is that Fishtank is about casting Reality TV for people who would never pass a real Reality TV casting call. It's not about casting clout chasing Kick streamers and whores who crave the spotlight and attention, it's about casting that weird bitch in the corner of the room that is quietly counting dead bugs or obsessively rooting through the model train yard.
 
I do like when spinoffs make us acknowledge a grudging respect for Jet and the wiggers because as much as it seems like it should be easy and they constantly fuck it up it turns out nobody else can do it for some reason
