  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

Honestly I have my suspicions that not a single fish is streaming to over 100 real viewers at this point, rather they're all clustered around 50 real viewers aside from Drake and the Twins. Generally you get a good read on how healthy a channel is by how active the chat room is.

A lot of the fish are on Kick now which doesn't have an easy way to scrape this data. But from my own observations Seth and Bashir at 40-50 viewers have a more active chat than say Mizzy who has "150 viewers." I haven't checked in some time but the Twins have the most active chat pre-jimmytank but given that they've been off the streamer beat for some time we'll see how much it has degraded. They also use slow mode to squash it which isn't something any fish has needed to do since the S2 fish exited the tank and did their initial streams.

So Mizzy with "150 viewers" being on the front page daily has the same real activity and viewership as Seth who doesn't give a fuck about anything and rides around 30-50 viewers a stream.

Some thoughts about this:

It's tough because reading through some of these threads, some of the shit people say about the cows goes way beyond the pale and comes across as sociopathic and obsessed. Following lolcows has become a personality trait for an unfortunate amount of users (almost no one in this thread, of course)

Keeping up with Chris Chan was fun for a long time because he alone was like a walking social experiment. An anomaly so distinct that the chaotic internet of the 00s decided to buckle in and document his life in a way that had never been done before. He was unintentionally hilarious and the sagas were interesting. Keeping up with him now is boring, he's old and more self aware and that era of internet is gone.
The only other person I've kept distant tabs on is Daniel Larson because I think he may be the funniest person alive, unbeknownst to him.
Lastly, Cobes was cool because he kinda had the internet laughing with him more than at him. Didn't really follow him though, too gross for me.

IMO, almost everyone else documented on this site are boring attention seekers or sad freaks that don't really need or deserve the amount of views or even hate people give them. I can understand why people outside the site view it like a doxxing forum for sociopaths with no friends. I know that's not an accurate depiction overall, but it's an easy assumption to make at a glance.
This thread is unbelievably clean and chill by comparison. The discussion is a hundred times better than any other board, and the freaks are few and far between. 3 years and 6100 pages in, I don't think anyone here has ever undermined the show and caused a big issue. The same can't be said for 4chan or anywhere else.

You also see this in a lot of the Fishtank auditions that they stream sometimes. These people genuinely think they’re better and funnier (in an ironic and self aware way, of course) than the people they watch 24/7 on Jet Neptunes retard zoo. Zoomers will be the death of us. Anyway my favorite KFers have always been Fishtank shitposters and bored moms on niche girl threads. Bonus points if they overlap.

He's right and few want to admit it. Lolcow culture is bottom rung nigger tier on par with normies watching 90 Day Fiance. I only use this site because its got the best Fishtank thread (/ftl/ is cancer) and the few drama threads I've ever participated in were directly related to me/I was involved
