Does anyone here actually regularly browse those threads? They're so insanely bad and absurdly fast while basically nothing gets discussed. Genuinely some of the worst /tv/ threads i've ever viewed and generally speaking /tv/ was one of the better boards.

/ftl/ was always fine, lots of good content and they usually dug shit up on contestants faster than anyone else.
/bant/ was the real shitter though, pure parasocial behaviour.

re funding: it's mostly Aperture. Kalkalakalak also invested some but he is always sarcastic about it so who knows how much. The furry (KingDoctor) was more helping with production, doing merch, failing to run the shop, etc. Jordan (from Jaquanzie) did tech/audio and wants to do edits of the "show" (he filmed additional stuff). Most people were flown out but some took the costs on themselves (eg. Chairy).

re vision: he said the plan started two weeks ago where he just wanted to pull up to Fish's place to hang but they expanded on the idea where they wanted to invite people nearby. The initial plan wasn't to film but the others getting involved probably shaped it to be an off-tank thing. Aperture being more in favor of a hangout than putting on a show is the crux of this thing not being that "Fishtank" heavy (alongside some invitees probably setting boundaries and doing the stupid contract thing)... but by putting on "stream stars" and streaming on the site he set this up to entirely different expectations. When he talked with Alex B he mentioned wanting to do this again but not in an AirBnb but a place they could smash up so this is surely also a major part in this.
It ended up becoming a don't upset the paypig event and basically a show off for him about how he can give them a nice place to hangout with booze and weed and also being able to pull a "famous" friend in Alex B. Even the one person he was willing to fuck with (Brookiebabe) got multiple de-escalations through him. I still somewhat respect that he let Alex B go fairly off the rails during this, not so much for being grumpy about the criticism... I mean he even went to bed when they did their finale / the cell.

Alex B had a bit of a crash-out on the final day of Aperture's fishtank spinoff. It was basically him and Aperture yelling at each other, a lot of "hit me see what happens" for like 30 minutes to an hour. It's unclear what started it but I think it's a combination of Alex B being extremely annoying and drugged up for the past 2-3 days along with him telling Aperture that watching Burt makes him gay. Someone also mentioned something about Alex B wanting to jump off the balcony being a reason it started but I guess that also falls under "extremely annoying and drugged up".

There wasn't much interesting about them yelling at each other, Alex B mentioned that he was being payed to be there ($300 and 50 subs) and then he 'leaked' some messages. There's nothing interesting in them though, it seems like Aperture just talking up the show.


At one point his manager had to call him and tell him to leave though (3:20 his manager calls and 4:08 he puts it on speaker). Aperture also throughout the argument would tell him to ask his manager why he was being kicked.

On Tuesday night they had Alex become ordained as a minister by doing some online exam.

Yesterday afternoon Alex B announced his divorce (it's in the thread).

Last night at around midnight they had Alex B officiate a fake wedding between Jaquanziee and his girlfriend Clarice, which ended up turning into a real proposal.

Aperture, nor anyone else there, even mentioned the irony of this situation or how fucked up (or funny) it would be to have Alex B do this considering what he is currently going through. They literally made him the center of a marriage scene the day he found out he was getting a divorce. Alex B seemed very upset throughout, and eventually chimped out on everyone. I would have chimped out too.

The entire time, for hours before the wedding, Alex B was asking for a drink by saying "let the monkey have his bottle". Aperture decided that Alex B should not be allowed to drink because last time he got too wild for Aperture to handle. So on the day he finds out he's getting divorced, he's not allowed to drink alcohol because the 100 viewer stream is more important, and has to be at the center of a mock-wedding turned real proposal. I guess Aperture was also trying to protect the couple from having their proposal moment ruined by a drunk Alex B. I spammed "give the monkey his bottle" before the tranny shut off TTS in the room to run the gay fake wedding bit, and Alex B demanded to know who sent it. When the tranny told him Alex B said, "I like your style man."

Aperture said he would never talk to Alex B again during their arguments later that night, and I hope for Alex B's sake that's true. During the entire argument Aperture was acting like it was the most stressful day of his life, not realizing or caring what Alex B must be going through. He's an inconsiderate baby with negative content instincts and I think it would be best for Alex B to stay away from obese people from now on.
