With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

Sam just said the start of season 2 was the hardest part of any fishtank season because they had no idea what to do. He says he was blackpilled. Weird because I really enjoyed early season 2 and to me that was the best part of the season. Like the first few weeks were fantastic.

I don't think they will because Sam has to make show dates this week. He's not going to drive there in an RV.

the (probable) speculation i've heard, is that when they were cleaning the house for famous house 2.0 and had all the contractors in doing repairs, the contractors found black mold and reported it as they're (presumably) required to do. i distinctly remember a clip of them looking at the mold behind the busted light fixture in B3 and saying it was "nightmare fuel". this coupled with jet contemporaneously posting the chris chan video where bob tells him to "get all that stuff off the internet" (because if greene county knew about the state of the house, the health department would make them leave), makes this explanation seem like a good bet.

not sure if anyone remembers seeing the post from luca about cleaning the house after the RV trip started, but he was wearing an N95 mask. there's for sure mold in there.

For season 4 Sam said they're going for Jet's idea for vetting fish. And that bringing on Alex's wife was a huge mistake. They need 3 crazy people.

My guess so far is that whatever issue they had with the air vents that Cowboy and co. pointed out doing maintenance was some form of mold that was worse than previously thought and was potentially how the crew got sick, leading to them just going fuck it mode and going on the road to get over having to send cleaning crews in to scrub that all out.

If I had to put money on it, this would be my bet. There was previous talk about mold when they used the house in bitchtank. It wouldn't be noise complaints because the house is fairly isolated, and its very unlikely the cops shut it down or anything like that.

It also makes sense why they don't discuss the mold situation because that could be considered endangering the fishes safety and potentially be grounds for a lawsuit.

Its the best case scenario besides Luke walking away with it. Massive production W.
 
At least they're talking about what worked and what didn't. Gotta cope with this being an experimental show.

Also MDE still has the S2 house.
