They never really clarified it. After all, these people just came in to Famous House and within three days there were food fights and all their belongings getting wrecked. Alyssa didn't get booted for starting to vandalise the house the first time, so presumably thought it was fair game. They didn't ease in the new fish at all so there's no fear/respect towards production.
This is also considerably funnier content than the inflatable ball, but it's pissed off Jet so he'll probably boot her.

I'm gonna be real, what the fuck did Josie actually do? the audio was so bad in S1 that she was basically mute 99% of the times and all I remember is her winning and the "I like plushies" bit
If she was alone, she'd mess around with stuff. If she wasn't she'd typically be where the action was.
