I think Sam actually likes Letty a lot more than he does with other females, not in a relationship or attraction way but just doesn't cringe away from her as much as he does with others. I think this is mostly due to her being quite quick witted with her responses a lot like he is.

i agree with you on that. sam does seem to like her. and letty really is much more quick with her response and tends to be more fun about things. compare her to how tay responds in situations, tay tends to get upset or yell whereas letty is more goofy. and then you have trish who kind of just kind of stands there. out of all the female fish, letty seems to be the one who is having the most fun and has the best sense of humor about things.

They all like Trish. Fans don't like her bc she's boring, but she's chill and not cringey so prob cool to be around. Sort of similar to Josie. And also kind of similar to Chris Lynch tbh.

Letty is more like one of the guys and actually funny. She's more of a Ben.

Basically the rule is don't be cringe.
Brain and Trish pass this test, Tayleigh does not.
As for Jimmy, he's just all over the map. Which can be good for content but also a liability. Jon is also kind of like this.

Yeah, she was told to ask Jimmy about why he was kicked from S2, and he immediately jumped to doxing her. She didn't cry about that.

This is a fair take, but then again who among the Fish is without flaws? Jon can act like an annoying kid, Jimmy assaults women and explodes out of nowhere, Vance doesn’t exist, Tai can sometimes shut down and go quiet and is also limited in his humor, Tay is Tay, and Letty also has the flaws you listed. Even the best fish can be criticized, it’s more about the content they produce that’s judged and how efficiently they roll with the punches.

She, by far, got the most shit in s1 (long before production brought her into the fold near the end).

its the difference i think between playing hard until you want to quit and playing hard until you self destruct

jimmy doesn't quit he gets thrown out. which is not better. it could be admirable to push past certain things that letty probably would not (tts telling Jimmy he's going to get raped in Utah is a good example) but clinging until you're homicidal is ridiculous

It's easy to forget the carry job Letty did for season 1. Sam even acknowledged as much post-season. There's a reason she got paid too. Same didn't happen at the end of season 2.

I think a lot of the contestants don't realize they're members of production too in a way. It's their responsibility to be entertaining. Simply existing gets you the bare minimum compensation while someone like Letty who went out of her way to cause a lot of drama in S1 ends up taking home more than the original grand prize for second place. S2 fish acted like there was some massive divide between themselves and production. Jet seems to want the fish to steer the ship as long as it's going to be funny. It seems like most of them don't understand that.

She's a good "shit taker" but I don't know about competitor. She'd just coast by on bare minimum sometimes, which I'm sure you could twist into "OMG 4D CHESS" but she's never stuck out in any other department other than the fact that she can take abuse or talk shit.
