With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

  • 2 Stars — Pretty bad. Some funny moments, dragged, too many vibe repair days. Barely worth checking.

  • 3 Stars — Average. Solid entertainment in spots, some good chaos and crashouts, but nothing special

    Votos: 214 23.9%
  • 4 Stars — Really good. Lots of hilarious moments, strong fish personalities, solid content and vibes

    Votos: 438 48.9%

A potential cause of drama between Vance and Letty could be his statement post-season 1 about how when he told her that he sees her as a little sister was a lie, now that would be content :story:

It’s all about how they bounce off of each other. Any fish by themselves is pretty bland, but this group does have some potential for some good interactions. Mostly looking forward to how Jon and Letty will interact as well as how Vance will feel about Letty and the two tards. He’s very easy to annoy.
Agreed. Just speculating that there will be a lot more alone time this season because of the body cams and the massive area they're going to be in instead of a closed off house. Tayleigh of course is a great competitor and had some good interactions with other contestants (the fatty and frank fights were great). But on her own she is boring IMO. And I'd give Jimmy about 5 seconds of nixon talk or youtube poop talk before i switched cams. That shit is only funny when he's forcing it on another person.

But on her own she is boring IMO
To be fair most contestants would be boring if they're all alone and have nothing to do. The final week of S2 was a massive piece of shit for a reason. Tayleigh was great up to it but once she was done fucking with Fatty there was nothing left to do up to the finale.

If we assume the commissioned art (Jon, Jimmy, Letty, Tai, Tayleigh, and Vance) reveals the 6 actual contestants, who are you excited for?
I have faith that all of them will produce funny content except for Tayleigh. I'm probably most excited for Letty because it's a surprise, but I am seriously wondering how they expect her to stick it out. Seeing a NEET try to rough it out in the woods for 2 weeks will be good on its own. I'm also hoping Letty and Tayleigh have a cat fight because I'm pretty sure they would absolutely hate each other.
Jon is the only one who produces good content without trying and obviously it stems from the fact that he's a retard who can't control himself. Letty can actually be funny and advance situations in useful ways.

They're going into 2.5 knowing a lot more about the project and are probably being prepped about what to do and what not to do, and I think the fish are going to try too hard. I won't be logging into the website at all and will exclusively get my updates from here.

another thing that doesn't get talked as much as it should: Alex Stein in fishtank.live was a bizarre decision, specially in season 1. Everything about him felt completely out of place and immersion breaking (if that makes sense), season 1 was mostly apolitical (wich is tbh, part of what made it so comfy) if edgy, so to have this guy suddenly come out of nowhere and spout milquetoast boomer conservative jokes was very jarring.

In season 2 he tried to fit in a bit more and the season was such a chaotic mess that he didn't seem that out of place, specially because that season had much more political content as a direct result of nearly everyone being a MDE fan tryhard.

Metaphorically speaking, Alex Stein in fishtank is like a tranny in a kid's show, an icky piece of real life rot in what should otherwise be comfy harmless escapism.

Alex Stein was the most normal person to show up in both seasons and I'm counting Greg

I am looking forward to any Jon-Jimmy-Vance interactions and dynamics honestly, if they're in 2.5.
What interests me is everything points towards the game not being based around one winner but on teamwork. So it's totally fine if Vance is too passive to antagonize his castmates but instead he's going to have to show off the other thing he fucking sucked at, maybe worse than being an antagonist: standing up for people and not running away giggling when Fatty is mowing Letty down with a blunt weapon.

He had such a feminine way of dealing with Jon, Mauro, Simmons and even Damiel in S1 where he would barely talk if another dude was around. If he has to wrangle two tards at once he's going to go nuts

like , shit, does anyone remenber Octavious? that guy was probally the most boring person to ever be on the show, i can' t think of one thing that he did while he was there.
Season two freeloaders had far less planning and were more desperate moves to keep people engaged, at least it felt that way to me. Octavious is one example. Delaney is another good one. The freeloaders that turned out good were pleasant surprises like Greg or repeats.
