With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

They were so wholly unprepared, it's genuinely surprising... did sam really do no research into how to finance / appropriately host fishtank responsibly? I don't doubt he figured he could jew his paypigs. I mean God damn, like 70$ for a TTS? Lmao.

Somewhere Sam was mentioning that he was estimating only around 5k people would be watching, and it turned out to be bigger than that.

We're early enough that I think it'll be fine, if this happened late Friday/early Saturday when people off work were really going to be able to settle in and get attached it could of been worse, but this is so early on were still largely in a bumpy start.
 
I'd really appreciate anybody who can do current writeups or summations on the contestants. @ me and I'll add them to the OP with credit to you. I really cannot keep up with every aspect of this event.
 
The complete lack of bandwidth management from the site's engineering in tandem with Sam having the same amount of knowledge on how large-scale video hosting pricing works as a 50 year old suburban mom running a church charity drive is so fucking funny in the context of Sam always presenting himself as some sort of uber-competent Renaissance Man.
